In this week’s episode I wanted to go over an important topic. After traveling and attending several conferences recently, I wanted to go over the topic on how special forces does not a monopoly on leadership. Often you see at conferences a Navy SEAL or a Green Beret but there are many other facets that have leadership skills to offer so stay tuned as we dive deep into this subject
In this weeks episode I wanted to go over a request I got about why some leaders don't empower their subordinates. Their are a variety of leaders and managers that don't want to empower their people. Some might be micromanagers, some might perfectionist. I take a deep dive into my experience as well as giving some expertise of my own on how to handle and even improve in these situations.
In this weeks episode I get to catch up with a old friend from high school who has been a tremendous help with this transition project we have been working on. We are going to get into some of the history on how this all started as well as some insight into what it means to combine my skills from the service with the private sector.
In this episode we dive into the not so talked about concept of a toxic follower. A toxic leader is easy to point out, normally depicted in the media as a hot head no on wants to work for, but what of a toxic follower? In this weeks episode I will be going over the difference between the two and what leadership techniques you can implement to handle both.
As a leader it is important to be invested in the people. Being a great manager will help you get results but the act of being a great leader and being invested in the people on your team will take you so much farther. In this episode I'm going to go over why its important to be a leader and what leadership means.
I always appreciate when people come to me or I see posts thanking me or active duty for their service. I love it, but memorial weekend is about the people that couldn't make it home. It is about the women and men that are in Arlington National Cemetery. This weeks episode is dedicated to them.
Every successful person has been successful with a little bit of doubt and a little bit of fear. In this weeks episode I'm going to go over how we cannot let fears stop us, and how by pushing forward we can achieve what it is we deserve.
I wanted to give some foreshadowing of what is to come. The War Room Podcast will go over my philosophy on leadership, team building, organizational leadership, organizational change and culture. All of this is combining my extensive years in the military as well as expert guests in both the service and the business world!
