  • DDD: The Greatness Nobody Sees

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

Everyone wants influence, recognition, and a seat at the top—but Jesus turns the entire definition of greatness upside down. What if the path to real impact in your home, church, workplace, and the public square begins by choosing to become the least?

    Summary

In Luke 9:46–50, the disciples argue over who among them is the greatest, but Jesus responds by placing a child beside Him and teaching that true greatness belongs to the one who humbly serves. This devotional confronts the pride, rivalry, jealousy, and demand for personal recognition that can damage our relationships, leadership, and public witness. Jesus calls believers to practice bold humility: holding firmly to biblical truth while speaking and acting with love, restraint, and a desire for the good of others. The message challenges us to distinguish between non-negotiable biblical convictions and personal preferences, choosing servant leadership over arrogance in every sphere of life.

  • DDD: The Main Thing Is the Gospel

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

Jesus performed an incredible miracle—but then He immediately pointed His disciples to something even greater: His coming death, burial, and resurrection. When life feels desperate and the culture feels out of control, Jesus reminds us where true power begins.

    Summary

In Luke 9:37–45, a desperate father brings his suffering son to Jesus after the disciples are unable to help. Jesus rebukes the unclean spirit, heals the boy, and leaves the crowd amazed at the greatness of God. Yet in the middle of that miracle, Jesus redirects attention to the central truth of the kingdom: the Son of Man will be delivered into the hands of men. This devotional calls us to bring our fears, limited resources, families, communities, and public concerns to Christ—remembering that lasting transformation does not come through anger or human effort, but through faith in the gospel and surrender to God.

  • DDD: When Heaven Speaks: Listen to Jesus

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

Peter wanted to stay on the mountain—but God had a greater mission: listen to His Son, trust His timing, and bring the hope of salvation to the world.

    Summary

In Luke 9:28–36, Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James, and John as Moses and Elijah appear with Him in glory. Peter’s desire to build tabernacles captures the human longing to make God’s kingdom fully arrive right now, but the Father interrupts with one decisive command: “This is My Son, My Chosen One; listen to Him.” The devotional reminds us that God’s plan is still unfolding through the salvation of Jews and Gentiles alike, calling believers to trust His timing rather than demand our preferred moment. Our response today is repentance that bears fruit, prayer for our leaders and communities, and faithful proclamation that Jesus is the chosen Son of God.

  • DDD: Who Do You Say Jesus Is?

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

Jesus can provide in your wilderness, heal what is broken and multiply what you offer.  But today, He asks each of us the most important question we will ever answer.  "Who do you say that I am?"  Your answer changes everything--because following Jesus instead of ourselves, taking up our cross daily, and living unashamed of His name changes everything.

    Summary

IIn this devotional from Luke 9, Jesus feeds thousands of people in a desolate place.  Showing Himself as the faithful Provider who can multiply even the little we place before Him, He turns to His disciples and asks the question every person must answer: "Who do you think I am?"  Peter declares that Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, and Jesus calls His followers to die to themselves, take up their cross daily, and follow Him.  The message challenges us to fully surrender to Jesus, speak truth with love in the public square, and relish the gifts of the Savior.

  • DDD: Manna in the Wilderness: Trusting God’s Daily Provision

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

When life feels like a wilderness and what God has given you does not look like enough, will you trust His provision—or grumble for the comforts of the past?

    Summary

In Exodus 16, God provides manna and quail for Israel after He delivers them from slavery, showing that He faithfully supplies what His people need in the wilderness. Yet the people repeatedly complain, disobey God’s instructions, and long for the familiar—even though it was bondage—rather than trusting the God who rescued them. This devotional reminds us that our present struggles are not our final destination, and that God calls us to receive His provision with obedience, gratitude, and rest. Above all, God’s greatest provision is Jesus Christ, whose death and resurrection offer salvation and eternal life.

  • DDD: Who Calls the Shots? God’s Vocation vs. Government Control

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

What if the government—not God—decided your job, your purpose, and where you belonged? This devotional challenges us to reclaim vocation as a personal calling from the Lord, not an assignment from the state or a pursuit of profit alone.

    Summary

God gives every person distinct gifts, roles, and a calling that should be discerned through Scripture, prayer, wise counsel, and the desires He places within us. Drawing on 1 Corinthians 7:17 and Colossians 3:23, this devotional explains that our work is ultimately an act of worship done for the Lord—not merely for an employer, the marketplace, or the government. It contrasts this biblical vision with centralized systems that can treat people as interchangeable units, while also warning that capitalism can reduce vocation to income and profit. The closing prayer lifts up young adults seeking direction and asks God to guide them into the work He has uniquely prepared for them.

  • DDD: Make Jesus the Lead Line

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

Your job, your family, your civic involvement, and every responsibility in your day matter—but they are not the main thing. In Luke 9, Jesus sends His disciples out with a clear purpose: proclaim the Kingdom of God and demonstrate His power. The question is: what is the “lead line” of your life today?

    Summary

Drawing from Luke 9, this devotional reminds believers that Jesus sends them into every part of life as witnesses for His Kingdom. While work, family, business, farming, civic responsibility, and stewardship all matter, the gospel of Jesus—His death, burial, resurrection, and saving grace—must remain the central message. Christians are called to be salt and light in the public square, relying first on prayer and God’s power rather than looking to government or personal provision as the ultimate answer. The devotional closes with prayer for Washington’s leaders, businesses, farmers, and communities to receive salvation, wisdom, and a renewed commitment to glorify God.

  • DDD: When Jesus Says, “Arise”

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

What do you do when the situation feels final—when hope seems gone, faith feels weak, and everyone around you says it is too late? In Luke 8, Jesus walks into a room marked by death and speaks two life-changing words: “Child, arise.”

    Summary

In this devotional from Luke 8:40–56, Pastor Brian Noble reflects on Jesus raising Jairus’s daughter after others had declared that she was dead and beyond help. The message emphasizes that faith is not something we must manufacture perfectly or use as a weapon against people who are suffering; instead, we can bring Jesus both our belief and our doubts, trusting His mercy, timing, and sovereignty. Jesus is able to bring life into places that feel dead—whether a difficult job, a weary heart, a broken relationship, or even a discouraged view of Washington State. The central hope is not in circumstances alone changing, but in Jesus Christ, who ultimately raises the dead and calls His people into abundant life.

  • DDD: One Touch Changed Everything

Give me 7+ Minutes on your drive into work today

What if the breakthrough you need begins with one desperate, faith-filled reach toward Jesus?

    Summary

In this devotional from Luke 8:40–48, Pastor Brian Noble reflects on the woman who had suffered for 12 years and was healed when she reached out and touched the fringe of Jesus’ cloak. Her story is a reminder that Jesus sees faith even in a crowd, meets people in their deepest need, and invites the discouraged to come to Him without giving up. The message calls listeners to place their hope not in government, culture, or human leaders, but in Jesus Christ—the One who transforms hearts from the inside out. It closes with prayer for Washington State, its communities, and its elected leaders, asking God to bring repentance, wisdom, healing, and spiritual renewal.
