The Watch Men Podcast

The next movie year has been decided and we're prepared to thrown down in the geekiest way possible about what the best movie of the year 2000 is.

We have Fan Favorites, Dark Horses, and some very Personal Picks rounding out our top films that will be whittled down to just one.

Happy Holidays to all! We wanted to get together and try to put out a "mini" episode, which only turned out to be an hour long lol

We did however try to put together our Top 5 Christmas Specials/Movies of all time. Which was incredibly difficult considering the amount of nostalgia that's packed into every decade.

But, amazingly, we did find common ground, and had a very clear and respectable Top 3.

It's been 3/4s of a year putting together this season. Normally wouldn't have taken as long to get out the whole season, but *WAVES ARMS*

So here for you now is The Watch Men Podcasts' Season 3 Championship. We've narrowed it down to what we sorta think the Top 6 films might be (sorry Weird Science), and have a downright torturous time deciding between some of our favorite movies in history.

Enjoy!

We've narrowed down the search for the best film from 1985 to 12.

And with the help of our Very Special Guest Host Jeremy, we'll narrow it down to the Final 6!

There are Big Laughs, Big Arguments, and Big Hurt Feels!

If you were thinking that there were some injustices done throughout our elimination process  (like Weird Science only getting a total score of 5, thanks Eric), then here's the chance that we hopefully right some wrongs that brought against some of our favorite films.

We take the 10 losers, and match them against each other Mosh Pit style, with the Top 2 advancing to the Semi Finals!

This was supposed to be the episode that started off Season three back in April. But the original recording was so poorly done, that it became our first lost episode.

But we came back strong, finishing out the brackets with the Tyson vs Ali tpe of matchup. Two of the perennial favorites of 1985 will face off, with one outcast to the loser bracket.

And just to be sure that there is no inherent bias in the process, we bring in a ringer, Gary Kollman.

Here it is and enjoy #Goonies vs #BTTF

IN our 9th episode of the Season, we bring back the talents of Mary Pacheco and Kimberly Sewell to give their expertise on the next two challengers of 1985!

We bring you pre muscle and capped tooth Tom Cruise in Legend. Versus the young and ever so dark Fairuza Balk as Dorothy Gale in Return to OZ!

The much anticipated return of Kristin Skye Hoffman has finally arrived! She comes in hot to set shit straight in this weeks matchup!

We have Biggie's #1 The Color Purple, paired against his Wild Card selection, Mask: The Rocky Dennis Story

There's also a caveat to this week's episode! We wondered how The Color Purple could be nominated for 12 Oscars, and not win one. We decided to watch the film that did win, Out of Africa, to see if it holds up!

Now onto the real debate of the morning, What's The Best Film of 1985? In this week's match up on The Watch Men Podcast, we take two of the years quirkiest comedies, and set them against each other.

One, an immortal comedy classic with all of the elements of a true comedy masterpiece.

The Challenger, an underdog of 1994 Denver Nuggets proportion. But with it's strong social message, and lude antics, does it have enough to dethrone a perennial All Star?
