News: George Perez, Captain Carter, Across the Spider-Verse Part One
We’ve been off for a month for reasons, but now we come back with an episode that, personally, we’ve really been looking forward to: The Dark Phoenix. In case you couldn’t tell from the title, the summary, the fact that JR couldn’t shut the fuck up about it, or a host of other clues, we talk about the seminal event of Chris Claremont’s run on X-men.

We’re in the lead-up to the one and only Dark Phoenix, which sees the X-men battling the warped son of Moira MacTaggert for their very lives. Power Man and Iron Fist help Misty get over her irrational hatred of people who blow others up, and we’re all the better for it. Bruce Banner inexplicably comes out as anti-bomb, out of nowhere.

News: Danny Rand quits and paper shortages
Spider-Man helps the Invisible Woman save Franklin, as Cap insults some thugs and Ghost Rider terrorizes the innocent. You know, good clean family fun.

News: Steven DeKnight vs. C.B. Cebulski
Once again, we’re forced to talk about C.B. Cebulski, but he should be talked about. What he did was gross and wrong, and something really should be done.
Other than that, Captain America saves a little girl and meets someone from his past, Thor faces the Celestials, and the X-men meet Arcade. Power Man and Iron Fist destroy antiquities.

News: Death of Jeffrey Huet, Black Widow settlement
*A PROGRAMMING NOTE: JR uses a not-good word toward the middle, but then realizes his error and apologizes. When you hit that point, please bear with us, as an apology is forthcoming. Promise.*
Defenders continues to scrape by, Thor continues to try and stop the Celestials but is sidetracked by family drama, and Her goes looking for some of that sweet sweet golden D. Good times!
