Chapter one gave us the understanding that we are saved by God’ grace, but how do we receive this underserved salvation? Paul reminds the Galatians in chapter two that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone. He also details three aspects of saving faith.

Mankind is born into slavery with a deep desire to experience a freedom that we cannot earn on our own. Galatians begins with the proclamation of the truth that freedom is found, not because we earn it, but by God’s grace alone. In chapter 1, we find three ways God demonstrates His grace to us.

Christ promised to build His church. One of the ways that God provides for this building is through the offices He established in the church. In the New Testament, we find two offices—Elders (pastors) and Deacons. Today, we will see the difference between these two offices and learn what it means to be a Biblical Deacon.

Too often Christians try to define marriage by detailing all the things it is not or the things it should not be. If we want to truly understand Biblical marriage, we must know what it is and what the Bible says about it. If we understand what we are for and why we are for it, we will do a better job of expressing what Biblical marriage should be. This morning we are going to look at what Jesus said about marriage in Matthew 19 and find three details about marriage that every believer should understand.

We live in an incredibly confused world. The church is constantly pressured to embrace society’s changing preferences concerning sexuality. However, the Bible contains clear instruction about human sexuality. This morning we will see three foundational truths about sexuality that the church must firmly stand on in our fluid society.

A healthy church understands that it is more than a weekly assembly of people. God designed the church to be a place of equipping and encouragement for its members who are commissioned to glorify God in everything they do. In Ephesians 4 we discover three details of the church as God’s mission factory.

A healthy church should be a place of encouragement, but sometimes it is hard to know how to encourage someone. How can Christians encourage one another in the church? We find four encouraging reminders that we all need to hear regularly.

We are told all the time that we should pray and the Bible commands us to pray. If God knows everything, why do we need to pray at all? In our text today, we find a familiar story that offers three reasons why healthy churches and Christians pray.
