The full squad are reunited and it feels so good! This week we have a bumper show with lots of juice! The Guernsey Flag Football league has come to its conclusion and the boys talk results, Pro Bowl, awards and celebrate the good guys. James Alderton of the Guernsey Hornets then drops by for a chat with Bez to discuss just how the final went down as well as a look back on the season and where football on the island is going in the future. After Greg got a fright last week at the thought of being replaced he returns to talk through a huge semi final weekend in Guernsey followed the most comprehensive preview of the league yet as we look ahead to finals weekend, Pro Bowl action and the culmination of a fantastic season. Keep an eye out for Sunday love songs before the main event of the Top 25 Players of 2019 countdown begins. This week Bez is joined by special guests Stuart Anderson of Carnegie Flag Football and Cammy Wilson of the Glasgow Hornets. The boys dive into the Guernsey Flag Football league and Bez has some explaining to regarding the pick’em! There’s also the new update from BAFA combined with the First Minister’s briefing today (10/9/2020) which leaves football in 2020 in a continued state of flux. The Aberdeen Oilcats have new Quaich dates for 2021 and then it’s on to a fairly wide ranging chat about how much we love football and the list of players who just missed out on the HNC’s Top 25 Players of 2019 as you get to hear who earned the votes to place 26th-30th. The big news of this episode is that we are joined by Guernsey Raptors Quarterback Luke Pattimore who chats to Bez about the season so far, the history of Flag Football on the island and looks to the future. Is a tour on the cards? You never know! The usual team also discuss the fallout from the cancellation of the GCQ in Aberdeen before turning back to Guernsey and working out the playoff clinching scenarios.
