It takes a certain level of madness to attempt putting one's body through the torture of running 87.7km, even for an accomplished runner! But...that's exactly what our featured guest this week, Lesotho-born Makalo Khaketla aka @MarriedMak, did on 9 June 2019. Starting at the City Hall in Durban and finishing at the Scottsville Racecourse in Pietermaritzburg, he ran his very 1st Comrades Marathon, popularly known as "The Ultimate Human Race."
Kgomotso sat down for a very candid chat with this well-traveled runner to chat about #KarlitosRoadToComrades2019, from his training, race experience and the emotions experienced in achieving this amazing feat. We also get into his personal reasons for running, the advice he has for those looking to get into running and his passion for helping those less fortunate to realize their true potential.
