We then move on to the pressures the coaches and AD's are facing to win immediately and how that will impact the 2025 coaching carousel. Doc and I also debate what experiences a coach should have to become a great head coach at the top levels of college football. Join me as Mike Miller, Associate Athletic Director for RevenueGeneration at Tulane, and I discuss his experiences being in a collegiate marching band and multiple college ticket offices. Mike's college football experience started as a marching band member and opening his eyes to the pageantry and tradition of college football. After college, he worked his way through different Disney operations eventually ending up in collegiate athletic ticket offices. Mike goes into detail about how ticket systems have evolved over the years and how Tulane decides timelines for selling different types of football tickets throughout the year. They describe their planning process and communication with the CFP staff and what the CFP requirements were while hosting the game. Tyler starts the episode describing how he first fell in love with college football. He then tells me how he started working for a Louisiana recruiting service while still in high school. When Tyler was attending LSU, he was a student working in game management and getting up close and personal experience with college football operations. After college, he landed a job at Arkansas and spent three seasons under two different head coaches helping recruit high school prospects.
