From the moment Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, God had a plan for how He was going to redeem mankind. He established early on that blood sacrifice was the only way to atone for sin. Pastor Jeff teaches you today that as the depravity of mankind increased, the need for a Savior increased as well. But all the way back in the Garden, God knew that His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, would be the worthy sacrifice to atone for the sins of not just a few people, but for all mankind.
Maybe you’ve noticed that Catholic and Orthodox Christians worship God in ornate cathedrals, while Protestants gather in buildings that are rather plain in comparison. But why? On this episode of Know The Truth, Philip De Courcy explains some of the reasons for different styles of worship.
Mark Gregston reminds parents that many frustrating teen behaviors are actually normal parts of adolescence and part of how kids learn to grow into adulthood. Understanding what’s normal can lower anxiety and help parents respond with patience instead of panic. At the same time, Mark urges parents to recognize clear warning signs that signal deeper trouble and require immediate action. When parents know the difference, they can stand firm, seek help when needed and trust God to meet them in the hard moments of parenting.

Pastor Greg Laurie has pointed out before that the prodigal son had an older brother who could also be considered a prodigal. So . . . two? Would you believe there may be three prodigals in the Bible? Today on A NEW BEGINNING, Pastor Greg points out that Jonah could be considered the prodigal prophet. But when he turned his life around, he helped an entire city turnaround and come to God.
