The separation between mankind and God is often illustrated as a chasm, with all of us at one end and God at the other. Every sinful action we commit only serves to make that gap wider and deeper, and we cannot ever hope to cross it on our own. Pastor Jeff teaches us today that sin doesn’t just separate us from God physically, but it also causes spiritual separation. When we allow sin to live unchecked in our hearts, we can lose our fellowship with the Holy Spirit and lose our most important counselor.
At twelve years old, Jesus astonished the teachers in the temple with His understanding. But what’s even more remarkable is what He said to His parents when they found Him. Pastor John Munro discusses Jesus’ first recorded words in Luke’s Gospel and what they teach us about His unique relationship with the Father.
We are probably familiar with the idea of Jesus being with us and never forsaking us, rather than the encouraging truth that the Lord goes before us. But as you begin this new year, reflect on and find comfort in this glorious promise!
When you hear the word “worship,” what comes to mind? The order of service? Or perhaps the music we sing? On this episode of Know The Truth, Philip De Courcy helps us understand the true meaning and purpose of worship. Don’t miss this uplifting study in Psalms chapter 150!
