Bio: Born in Versailles, France, close to the famous chateau of King Louis XIV, Emmanuel Laroche grew up savoring the best food and drink that France offers, eventually earning him the American nickname: “Champagne Charlie.” His mother taught him to cook when he was six, starting with a simple yogurt cake, and moving on to Lorraine quiche, from the region his mother grew up. He married a woman who also loved to cook, and during the first four years of their marriage, they never ate the same dish twice!
In 2002 he moved to the United States for his role as VP of Marketing with Symrise North America—a global manufacturer of flavors for the food and beverage industry. He now has more than twenty years of experience in the food and beverage industry, both in Europe and in the US.
Through his job, Emmanuel has access to a variety of acclaimed people in the food industry.
Since 2008, he has attended the yearly StarChefs Congress in New York City. In 2015, Emmanuel developed an exclusive partnership with StarChefs for Symrise and began moderating panel discussions with successful chefs, pastry chefs, and mixologists. In 2018, Emmanuel launched a personal podcast called Flavors Unknown, featuring a series of conversations with trending and award-winning chefs, pastry chefs, and mixologists from around the United States. Emmanuel currently resides in New Jersey, which acts as a home base for his travels around the country, conducting tastings, lectures and presentations on food and consumer trends.

Bio
Mariana Nuño Ruiz was born and raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, and comes from a long line of strong women. Margarita, her traditional grandma, kindled her passion for traditional Mexican cooking at an early age. Ana Fernanda, her modern grandma, inspired her to become a woman with a professional career and to see the world with wider eyes. The combination of their teachings ignited Mariana’s love for cooking and her curiosity beyond the kitchen, to learn about ingredients, their origins, and the history of foods. Thanks to her mom full support and hard work, Mariana earned an architecture degree from ITESO university in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. After working as an architect for more than eight years, she followed her bliss to acquire a culinary arts degree from AWC in Arizona. She has cooked in restaurants, catered, baked, and sculpted and decorated cakes. She also likes to teach cooking classes and workshops. Mariana enjoys mambo, food history, creating recipes, and collecting new and rare cookbooks. She also loves chiles and worships tomato season. Her last supper would be frijolitos de la olla. When she is not cooking, she is thinking about cooking.
Ian McEnroe was born in Michigan but grew up in Texas. His interest in photography started with a manual camera on which he learned to shoot film. Ian earned his Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas, which led to his award-winning photography and a long career as a photographic consultant and an instructor to hundreds of students at all levels of learning. When he is not taking photos, he enjoys painting, jazz, collecting records, reading, coffee, and, of course, good food. (Author Website)

Bio: About Theresa Carle-Sanders
Outlander Kitchen was born in early 2010, on a walk in the woods with the dog. A scene from Voyager popped spontaneously into my head, where, several characters share a plate of rolls filled with minced pigeon and truffles.
Outlander Kitchen: The Official Outlander Companion Cookbook was published in 2016 by Delacorte Press of Penguin Random House. Outlander Kitchen - To the New World and Back Again: The Second Official Outlander Companion Cookbook was published in 2020.
Writing a fictional cookbook begins with reading. In the case of my next project, Castle Rock Kitchen, Stephen King’s library kept me busy reading for six months solid and then, intermittently, for another two years while the project came together.
Born and raised on the opposite coast, in Vancouver, BC, Canada, I must confess that I’ve been to Maine only once, in 2008, a year after the death of my father. I joined a silent retreat where I gave myself the space to look forward after months of remembrance and grief. The six days I spent southwest of Bangor changed my life.
Fourteen years on, I am the author of two Outlander Kitchen cookbooks, and have completed this, my third fiction-inspired collection of recipes.
