Before he discovered his passion for the outdoors, Grant was in the music business and spent his working days and nights indoors in the darkness, a time that came close to damaging his mental health. In his own words, he discovered 'a big, yellow thing in the sky', figured the outdoors was for him and he never looked back. 

Years on, Grant maintains the forest's many varieties of trees, controls the deer population there, and he runs experience days to encourage improved mental health and wellbeing.
