YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!! That's what I hear going into this episode... but hang with us! What in the world is Marxist Christianity? I had to look up the definition of "Marxist" when Duffy told me he had this on his heart to discuss....That's all I knew going into this episode: the definitions of Marxism and Christianity. I was still perplexed. I'm very thankful for Duffy's brain. There was definitely a lot to unpack here and many new things that challenged what is happening today in the church and around us. We are called to UNITY, not DIVISION. Let's converse constructively. This isn't a knife-throwing competition to hit our believer brothers and sisters in the back......these are challenges to things that go against the very word of God! The question is, will we hear it, or ignore it? Come on......Let's hang out!!!

Have you ever seen a great movie where the main character takes a chance and then something incredible develops? We all wish we had that kind of courage- to go “All-In” and put it ALL on the line. We are obsessed with these ideas in movies. We love watching it play out. 
Our faith in God is challenged constantly in this same way. God is constantly inviting us to trust him.  Trust his word. Receive wisdom. Get perspective that only he can give. He actually refers to it as “the Narrow path” 
In this episode we are discussing PRAYER, but more on a relational and conversation level with "God the Father". The simple definition of prayer is, “time spent conversing with God”. We are invited to pray over all things. Jesus gave devoted time to prayer, and miracles happened as a result. We know prayer can give fresh perspective and direction, change our hearts and give us courage. The more time we devote to the activity of prayer, the stronger we become spiritually.

Daniel has some of the most interesting conversations with people he knows and meets. This past week he was inundated with talks about the flood and the Tower of Babel. From those conversations came talks and questions he had no answers for…… but isn’t that sometimes life in Christ. Sometimes just allowing the mind to ponder the mysteries of the world are enough. Sometimes we won’t have the full answers but we can still have civil conversations. Duffy and Daniel discuss thoughts on the two stories and ultimately what we can pull from them. In the United States, we are just finishing a Presidential race that’s been historical. We aren’t interested in discussing politics directly but more as it relates to human behaviors. We always want our podcast to be a place for discussions of all kinds of topics that relate to our lives. This one can be difficult to navigate but it doesn’t have to be. 
The truth is, we are all affected by the political climate in the U.S. and to some degree outside our country. 
People have been on the edge of their seats all over the world because of what is transpiring in several different countries. 
Natural disasters, poverty, wars....sometimes it seems the world is on fire!!
That being said, we have to talk about our hearts and devotion as Christians….. whether Democrat, Republican or Independent …..as Christians, what should it look like going forward?  The world can be uncertain at times but Jesus said, "let not your heart be troubled". Let's talk about it!
Duffy and Daniel discuss some cool biblical stories that can help us understand and unify our thoughts. 
God must be first… and we must love our neighbor if we want to survive and even thrive in the coming years.….. glad you are here!
