This week, we're taking a little detour from tarot to talk about something tangential: the Wheel of the Year. Essentially, this is the calendar of Neopagan holidays, also known as sabbats. Keep in mind, though, that as its name implies, Neopaganism is a modern creation. It draws largely from Celtic traditions, some of which you may be familiar with, like Samhain.
Understanding the Wheel of the Year can help you feel more grounded in your practice. It can also give some context to the things we do for certain holidays, like light the menorah at Hanukkah and share meals and gratitude at Thanksgiving.
