What do The Lord of the Rings, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Golden Compass, and Dune all have in common? Their combined word count does not meet that ofThe Wheel of Time.
So how does a TV show hope to adapt such a long and well known series? 
Well... they've got a giant budget and Brandon Sanderson (the writer of the final novels) consulting them. But really this is uncharted waters. Amazon Prime has giant shoes to fill and we're here to discuss the first few episodes. We haven't read the books, so this review is solely from a first time viewer perspective. Hope you enjoy!
