In the final hour of The Wheelhouse the guys go around the league and around the campus at the top of the hour. At the bottom of the hour they have their famous segment "Quick Hits" and wrap up the show by naming a new champ of the day.

In the third hour the guys play GM of the Astros and discuss some names the team should target or have interest in this offseason. At the bottom of the hour USA Today MLB Columnist Bob Nightengale joins the show to talk World Series and the Astros season before wrapping up the third hour. 

In the second hour the guys discuss whether or not the Astros can expect more success in the future after the World Series loss. They switch up the conversation and discuss the Texans being inactive at the trade deadline and the job that GM Nick Caserio has done. At the bottom of the hour The Athletic CFB Editor-in-chief Stewart Mandel joins the show to discuss the first College Football Playoff rankings being released before wrapping up the second hour.

In the first hour the guys recap the 2021 World Series after the Astros game 6 loss to the Braves. They react to Brent Strom not returning to the team as the teams Pitching Coach and the Astros expecting to retain Dusty Baker as manager. At the bottom of the hour the guys discuss the Texans deciding not to trade Deshaun Watson and what this whole process with the quarterback has been like for the organization. To finish off the first hour they go around the league and discuss the biggest storylines from around the NFL.

In the 3rd and final hour of an abbreviated show, the guys begin with some more Astros discussion, taking some calls as they continue to look at every angle of tonight’s Game 6.  The calls and preview continue throughout the hour before they wrap the show as the always do,  by naming a new Champ of The Day.   

As always, the guys begin the 2nd hour of the show with Stros at 4, continuing to break down tonight’s Game 6 matchup and where things might go wrong from a Braves perspective.  After the opening segment, they pivot to the Texans and their lack of activity at the NFL Trade Deadline before being joined by former Astros All-Star Closer Brad Lidge to talk more about the game tonight as well as give a bullpen perspective on what he’s looking at in the series.  To close the hour, they have some fun with a World Series edition of Hypothetical Tuesday.

To kick off a Tuesday edition of the show, the guys preview tonight’s massive Game 6 between the Astros and the Braves and discuss what we can realistically expect from Luis Garcia.  As the hour rolls on, they continue the Astros discussion before begin joined by ESPN Baseball Tonight Host Karl Ravech to talk more about the big game and what he’s made of the Series thus far.  As usual, they wrap the hour by going around the NFL, this time breaking down a rather uneventful trade deadline, especially from the Texans perspective.
