Houston Chronicle Texans Beat Writer Brooks Kubena joined the guys to discuss the myriad of things that went from in their diabolical loss to Buffalo, who deserves what blame, and where the team can possibly go from here.  

The guys kick off the final hour of the show as they usually do, by going around the NFL and looking ahead at the late afternoon and primetime games.  After the opening segment they are joined by ESPN Daily Wager’s Joe Fortenbaugh for his weekly hit in which he shares some of his favorite plays for all the CFB and NFL action ahead.   In the back half of the hour, Andrew does  a shoey as punishment for coming in last for the month’s show picks as they have some fun on Quick Hits, and as always, finish things off by naming a new Champ of The Day. 

To start the 3rd hour of the show, the guys take another look at Bills vs Texans this time discussing some of their favorite prop bets for the game.  As the hour continues, they continue their conversation comparing this Astros team to teams past and they debate who they expect to see on the Astros playoff roster before taking a look ahead at the awesome slate of CFB on tap this weekend.  To close the hour, they make their CFB and NFL picks against the spread on The Wheelhouse of Fortune. 

As always the guys begin the 2nd hour of the show with Stros at 4, continuing the celebration of the good guy’s 4th division title in 5 years and looking ahead to their ALDS matchup with the Chicago White Sox.  As the hour rolls on, they discuss what the expectations should be for Davis Mills in his 2nd start and they also take a hard look at the biggest NFL storyline of the weekend, Brady’s return to New England.  To wrap the hour, they briefly circle back to the Astros and compare this 2021 group to some of their other great recent teams.

To kick off a Friday edition of the show, the guys revel in the Astros  FINALLY getting the job done and clinching the AL West crown with last night’s win over the Rays.  After the opening segment, they turn their attention to the Texans as they try to figure out how the team can keep things close with the Bills on Sunday.  They then look back at the Bengals win on TNF last night and debate whether or not the Jags are already better than the Texans.  As usual, they finish off the 1st hour by going around the NFL, looking ahead at all of Sunday’s noon kickoffs.

On a special Friday edition of Quick Hits, the guys have some fun hazing Andrew for his poor September show pick record as he has to do a shoey as punishment for the poor performance.

In the 3rd hour of the show, the guys begin by welcoming Paramount Sports handicapper Lee Sterling on for his weekly spot in which he shares some of his favorite picks for some of the action ahead in both CFB and the NFL.  After that opening segment, they circle back to the Deshaun Watson discussion and the report that Eagles owner Jeffrie Laurie has given the green light for a Watson trade.  In the back half of the hour, they go behind enemy lines with Bills Beat Writer and Sideline Reporter Sal Capaccio to get all the latest on the Bills ahead of their matchup with the Texans on Sunday.  In the final segment of the hour, they take some calls as they continue the Deshaun Watson discussion.

As always, the guys begin the 2nd hour of the program with Stros at 4, taking a look at what the Astros are doing with their lineup ahead of the playoffs as Dusty tries to get things jumpstarted again.  As the hour rolls on they look ahead to the Texans matchup with the Bills on Sunday and if they have any realistic hope of stopping Josh Allen and Buffalo.  To wrap the hour, they continue the Texans-Bills discussion before taking a quick look at how the Texans are perceived nationally thus far in a few power rankings.
