Last month I went on a retreat with my girlfriends to hear from a few really blessed speakers- Laura Story, Ruth Chou Simons & Kathy Ellis. The theme of the retreat was "Our Unshakeable God" and I just couldn't let another week go by without debriefing my Whether Channel community on all of the wisdom I gleaned from these Godly women. Come listen in to this episode for a reminder of how unshakeable God's kingdom is and how that can keep us from lying awake at night with fears, failures and doubts.
In today's episode, I'm sharing the current state of my heart. But, beyond how my heart is currently doing, I want to help my listeners dissect the state of their hearts by sharing a quick 'state of the heart' assessment I use.
This quick check in with my heart has been so helpful for me to truly understand why I'm struggling with a particular situation and helps me bring the situation before God with an increased desire for a pure heart ("Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God" Matthew 5:8"). Come listen in to this episode of The Whether Channel for a quick heart check and encouraging stories born out of our chaotic life.

In dark, challenging seasons it's so hard to trust that God is for us. We doubt that He is with us and we become skeptical about his goodness. And because of how easy it is to forget about God's goodness, it's important to talk about full-circle moments in which we weren't sure if God was going to be faithful, but then we saw it- how he worked a terrible situation into something beautiful. And that's what today's podcast is all about.
We all have moments & seasons of doubt about God. It may come at the tail end of a hard season. It may come out of nowhere. Either way, there is deep encouragement and sweet rest to be had- even amidst the chaos. Come and listen in to this episode for the encouragement and rest your soul is longing for.
Our family has walked through many scary seasons. And maybe, right now, you are too- a divorce, a diagnosis, a child you're worried sick about, etc. Come listen in to the latest episode on The Whether Channel for deep hope, solidarity and a reminder that you are safe- so so safe.
Today Hope Ezell is sharing the story of her two boys. One of them is with Jesus and one the other, a heart warrior, God gave us a bit more time with. Hope tells each of these stories with grace, dignity and honesty that inspires us to release our children to their Heavenly Father, who loves them more perfectly than we ever could.

I hate to admit it but when I was first diagnosed with cancer, I received multiples of the same gift and ended up having little to no use for other gifts after finishing from treatment. However, there have been gifts that were a game changer for me as a cancer patient and that I wish I could buy for every cancer patient friend I have. I made a list of these gifts to create a gift guide for anyone looking to champion a cancer patient this holiday season: https://www.alichristian.com/giftsforawarrior.
When you send your patient a gift, I'd love for you to send me a message and let me know who you sent a gift to (first name only) and what you sent. It would be such a blessing for me to hear about this community spreading God's love during this holiday season & to be able to give you a shoutout on the podcast.
In this episode Carla Arges shares about the traumatic childhood she survived and how she's living a full and meaningful life despite her circumstances. This episode is chock full of transparency, encouragement and wisdom for thriving after living through the darkest of days that some of us can only imagine. Carla and I dive into healing from trauma, navigating parenting as a healing person and so much more. Come join this conversation to learn about helping others heal, recognizing your own trauma and thriving despite less than ideal circumstances.

As the holiday season is quickly approaching, I'd love for my amazing online community to choose one patient to champion during this season. If you're struggling to decide on a gift or have no idea where to start, here is a list of gifts that were most helpful to me during my battle with cancer: https://www.alichristian.com/giftsforawarrior.
Pam Hamilton is a mom of four boys, singer/songwriter and a widow. In today's episode she is sharing about the life God is leading her to live as a widow. Spoiler alert: She's living a full and rich life, even after the loss of her soul mate.
Pam writes: "The journey of loss is an intimate path. It leads through the bramble bushes of questions, the dark woods of tears and the reflecting pools of longing. Yet it can also lead to meadows of great comfort, sunny glades of peace and rushing rivers of divine nearness and hope." This conversation is so full of encouragement and wisdom- it's sure to offer hope to widows, married women, single women and anyone in between in life’s darkest hours.
