The Whomst Podcast

Hey, Welcome back

This episodes the blerdz give an update on the car and recording schedule, they watch two new movies this week. The blerdz give a quick review on Chip N’ Dale Movie and the limited screening of Bob’s Burgers movie.

Just FYI, We are aware of issues in the news like the multiple shootings but we are staying away from the topic because of how depressing it is. We would share a Gofundme that’ll help with those who lost loved ones but its sooooo many scammers out there that we just suggest you do research yourself and help the way you see fit. RIP to those kids and teachers in Texas.

Quote from the GoFundMe

“Alright, what happened?

I made this GoFundMe for my girlfriend. Her car ( 2017 Ford fiesta) center console / gear shift just caught fire and it's possible it'll be totaled out. We'll find out sometime in the next week.

She's on dialysis and needs a vehicle to get around to her appointments while the insurance gets things together.
What happened?
Just a normal day and no prior issues. No knocking, stalling, nothing. She parked her car at home and after an hour she tried leaving for the grocery store. Her glass was foggy and when she tried to open the door the air bags went off and a cloud of smoke came out the car doors.
After it cleared the middle section was completely gone. She called the fire department just in case.
They couldn't figure out what caused it but made a guess that it was the transmission. And here we are.

Thank you for reading. I hope you consider helping her.
We are only asking for $500 . $500 doesn't buy a car buy it helps with the little money we have saved at the moment.
Again Thank you.
Update: (as of 5/14/2022) Alot has happened in the last three days. So the fire happened Wednesday evening, The fire could not be determined by the fire fighters. We made a police report and immediately tried called the insurance company and dealership. No one was answering the phone or if they did they would transfer us to a different department. We playing telephone tag for about three hours. After literally 6 different phone calls We found a number for Carmax that finally wanted to help us (So we thought). The Lady CarMax rep gave us a 808 number (somewhere in Hawaii) but they weren't answering because at this point is was like 6pm. So we rested and tried again in the morning. When (who we thought was a Rep for CarMax) the 808 number opened in the morning we talked to a Rep who told us the "Max Care" coverage for CarMax that Jaljuda (GF) has on her car doesn't exist anymore and the last 9 months of payments were for nothing because quote "Max Care" isn't paying out. Weird right?
Anyway, Fast forward after some google searches and finally being able to contact the Shreveport , LA Carmax we found out that we were being scammed. That CarMax Rep that gave us the 808 number mostly likely was apart of this scam. Luckly, we caught it early and no money was lost. Be careful of a company named '"Exclusive National Auto Club".
But so far She was about to cancel cards before money was lost and She was able to get a rental. So the next step is Waiting for the insurance adjuster to look at the damages of the car ....on monday. Lufkin only has 1 adjuster

Hey Welcome back,

Episode 186 of the whomst podcast; George rambles about Abortion laws, moving the podcast to Substack, being old and the food shortage.

Apparently there is a food shortage up coming ( (200) Food crisis - YouTube ) With this one link I learned that the shortage is really because of all the consciences of sanctions toward Russia and Ukraine. Didn’t know until today the a third of our wheat comes from those two people. After learning that I go into a blind mindless rant asking question on why we are in this situation.

That lead to me talking about ( This Video ) where the youtuber explains how much walmart has to raise prices of their product to actually pay their employees. ALL THAT AFTER I try to do the math in my head live. Turns out im not as dumb as I think.

Even with all the food prices going up, will it actually help the employees? or will it just line the pockets of the people who don’t sweat when they work. Look at Dollar Tree. They raised their prices from $1 to $1.25 but that money isn’t seeing the stores’ workers. Based off of Tik Toks I’ve seen it looks like they are cutting hours more. I give Dollar tree 6 more years before they are done.

Anyway I hope you enjoy the show. Please Subscribe here on Substack. That’s the easiest way to support the show.

A Couple of Blerdz Podcast Episode 14

Jaljuda and George finally sat down and watch New movie “Everything, Everywhere, All at once” . Both agree that it’s a very good movie. Don’t worry there will be no spoiler in this blog post but half way through the episode they speak about….well try to talk about the plot. It’s a little complicated.

The Blerdz also finished watching Erased the anime this week as well. For some reason they watched multiple Universal time-travel thriller type of shows.

And by complete accident The Blerdz got a couple’s tattoo of Kirby and it happened to be on the 30th anniversary of Kirby. What do you think of the tattoos? Jaljuda got Sailor moon Kirby and George got Jotaro Kirby.

Hope you enjoy the episode.
