RD Weeks believes in a fun-filled life fueled through authenticity. He is on a mission to inspire and support others to share their authenticity to the world. At his first networking event after College, RD didn’t have the courage to share his authenticity by speaking with other attendees. Since that event 8 years ago, he made a promise to get more confident in his public speaking and help others do the same. RD has supported others to develop their public speaking skills and let their authenticity shine through his coaching programs and workshops. RD is focused on having fun, while making his job obsolete in our world.

Hey friends, welcome to this week’s solo episode! Today I am going to be speaking about core values. I have found in with working with my clients that identifying and defining your core values is really the foundational first step in cultivating holistic well-being because they are the compass you use in making decisions, a guide for how you want to show up and move in this world and they will be the root in how you go about cultivating all 8 pillars in your life.
Today I will be covering several aspects of core values such as defining what they are, what influences them, conscious versus unconscious values, what happens when we are aligned with, honoring and expressing our values, what happens when we are misaligned, compromising or experiencing a conflict of values, how to discover and define YOUR core values and how to put your values into practice.
Now it’s time for you to do the work! Download the worksheets and carve out some quiet time to do them. If you have questions about any of the material covered in todays episode or about the worksheets send me a DM on IG, FB or linked in or shoot me an email at [email protected]. Additionally, if you would like to set up a free 30 minute discovery call with me to explore how 1:1 coaching can support you in your growth journey, go to my website www.wideningyouraperture.com and fill out the contact form. “Yes. Of course. I’d be happy to. It’s no problem at all.”
Sheryl Green has taken “people-pleasing” to Olympic levels. For decades, she put everyone else’s needs above her own… until she hit a metaphorical brick wall.
After committing to one-too-many responsibilities, Sheryl discovered the importance of boundaries… okay, she actually discovered that boundaries were even “a thing.” Now, she works with individuals and organizations to establish healthy boundaries to improve relationships, communication, and well-being.
“Goth” as a teenager, Sheryl dreamed of being an FBI Profiler and hunting down serial killers. She earned a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology but decided against spending her days in the minds of criminals. Instead, she has worked in Mental Health, Customer Service, Public Relations, Education, and the Non-Profit world. This brings a unique blend of experience and insight to her audiences.
Sheryl is the author of six books (of her own), including her latest, “You Had Me at ‘No’: How Setting Healthy Boundaries Helps Banish Burnout, Repair Relationships, and Save Your Sanity.”
She is also an avid animal advocate, dedicating her life to providing a voice for those who cannot speak. She donates her time, talent, and money to animal welfare organizations.
When she’s not working, she’s spending time with her husband and their two fur babies, doing yoga, and tending to a small jungle’s worth of houseplants.

Hello friends and welcome back for season two of The Widening Your Aperture Podcast! There’s been a bit of a gap since the ending of season one and I wanted to use this intro episode to share the changes I have made to the format as well as share a little bit about what’s in store for season 2.
Last season the focus of the podcast was personal stories of transformation. While that is still an important undercurrent in season 2, we widen the aperture and look deeply at how to cultivate holistic well-being using an eight pillar framework. In the process of building your holistic well-being foundation you are also becoming the best version of yourself, which already exists, you just have to step into it. The word thrive means something different for everyone, for me it it means that I am flourishing and expanding. These definitions may resonate with you, but ultimately, you get to define what holistic well-being and thriving mean to you and what that looks like in your unique human experience. My guests this season will also share what they think it means to thrive in life at the end of each episode. The process of creating holistic well-being will look different for everyone. For me, in this season of life, this process is re-identifying who I am now after all of these major life changes and then fostering, aligning and integrating the 8 pillars of my life. This is, and will always be, a work in progress.
My guests this season are what I consider to be subject matter experts on the topics that they speak to in each pillar. They cover a vast breadth and depth of knowledge, and they serve in a variety of career paths such as coaching, solopreneurship, medicine, public speaking, organizational psychology, writing, and financial advising just to name a few. You can expect episodes with relevant how to’s and information on each of the eight pillars of holistic well-being. I am also very excited to share a monthly special episode called Wide Open Aperture that will air on the second Wednesday of every month. My cohost is my favorite human who also happens to be my brother, Brian. These episodes will be off the cuff, somewhat lengthy, and funny conversations about current events, books we’ve read, podcasts and documentaries we’ve enjoyed, the hard things we are doing, our wins of the month, and our attempts to solve some of the what the fuck’s of life. These episodes will also serve as an AMA opportunity for listeners! If you have a question, a hard decision that you want some outside perspective on, unsolicited life advice, or just want to vent your own what the fuck to be acknowledged and validated, send us an email at [email protected] Lastly, this season you can also watch all of the guest conversations and Wide-Open Aperture episodes on YouTube. As always, links will be provided in the show notes.
My favorite quote is from Ram Dass “we are all just walking each other home”. I would be honored to walk with you. My ultimate intention for this podcast is to step into my full potential and guide others to do the same. Together we strive for mastery in all areas of our lives, and yet accept the paradox, that mastery is never fully available to us. I love discovering the many complexities of the human experience and I consider it my mission to elucidate those complexities into manageable steps that makes sense and are easy to accomplish. I hope to provide you the tools, resources, and wisdom, so that you can take each of those steps with confidence. And now, welcome to season two of The Widening Your Aperture Podcast. My name is Kristen Henry, and I, along with this seasons guests, look forward to meeting you on our shared journey to holistic well-being and thriving in life.

While in her previous 9-5 career, Richelle discovered the coaching industry and the personal impact it had on her colleagues and the organization as a whole. This intrigued her enough to pursue a yearlong coaching certification from iPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching), so she could master the skills needed to guide others to achieve their highest potential.
After successfully launching a leadership coaching business, she had others in her network seeking guidance on creating, launching, and scaling a business. While feeling her passion being pulled from leadership coaching to business coaching, Richelle developed the Side Hustle to Main Hustle Coach Academy which is her signature methodology that walks her clients through a proven framework for scaling a coaching business in a way that combines mindset work that is critical for the entrepreneurial space and industry-leading business essentials for building a sustainable, results-driven coaching business.
Her clients have achieved results that include:
• Leaving their 9-5 during the 6-month academy,
• Selling out their services,
• Increasing the pricing (and sales!) of their services,
