Abandonment is not something that happens to us, it’s something we do to ourselves.  It’s the subtle ways we end up abandoning ourselves, dimming our light, softening our tone, giving up our to muchness for getting along and making things easier.

When everything I have to juggle comes together it feels like a soup.

Over time I let my Self Care go. I felt shamed taking time away from my responsibilities, my husband & family.

What’s happening to my meditation practice & everything else?

What am I afraid of?  I’m afraid of my business being so successful that my husband is not going to approve and he will leave me.

I have been putting away my needs so in a way I have been abandoning myself in favor of my husband. Abandoning what I want to do for my business in favor of being afraid of being abandoned by my husband.

I haven’t been feeling myself for the last six months, maybe it’s been a year or two or five..  I’ve been feeling heavier, less likely to go on the retreat, travel, to an awesome conference because I’m afraid of “What am I going to come back to.”

I have been abandoning myself bit by bit for really quite a while. It wasn’t because he asked me to, it’s because I felt like it would lower the conflict in my relationship and ultimately he wouldn’t abandon me.

I am diminished, I can feel my flame getting smaller and smaller and in danger of getting snuffed out.

The question is, Have I gotten to the point where I am ready to elevate myself where I can commit to me?

We are going to Lean In to meditation.

Meditation is like going to a spiritual gym.

I had a new business that was a year old and it was going through a shift and I was scared.

Allison asked, “In my entire career as an entrepreneur had I ever not paid my bills.” I thought about it and the answer was, “No.”

Take a breath

Step away from the wheel and surrender

Surrender to a higher being (for me that’s God)

Surrender to my inner voice

Surrender control to your higher being and inner voice, that’s the sweet spot.

Trust yourself, you have your own back.

You can do hard things you have proof.

Take the time to give yourself credit for the things you have accomplished in life. We are so focused on what we haven’t accomplished and all the things we “should” be doing and “have” to be doing that we forget to love and praise on ourselves.

All the results you have in your life today are because of the thoughts that you have.

Be aware of what you are thinking about and knowing that is the directive of your life allows you to think differently.

Be Open and listen to your heart, your soul and your inner voice.  It’s a kinder and more peaceful place to be.

You can build the most amazing business in life by listening to your own thoughts.

If you are in a group coaching program or meeting or work with a group of people it is very likely that somebody will irritate the fuck out of you.

You can walk away from the things that bug the shit out of you and… you will be on the slow track to growth.  Your annoyance/judgment is not about that person, it’s about you.

The Tool:

* Get curious about yourself

What is it in that person’s behavior that is inflaming something in me that has to needs to be considered, healed, processed, owned…

What is this about this that drives me nuts… hold up the mirror..

Don’t take everything personally and let the other person to be wherever they are on the journey.

Look at our triggers and annoyances and take responsibility.

Isn’t that interesting, What in me is really bothered by this person that needs to go?

When somebody else is irritating you, take a moment to pause and get curious about yourself.

Turn my judgments into curiosity about me.

What is it about this person that bothers me?
