We kick off this Olympic year with the next edition of our US Marathon Trials preview, with this week's guest, Joe Stilin. A 2008 Milwaukee Rufus King HS graduate, Joe went on to be a decorated collegiate runner as an undergrad at Princeton, and in grad school at the University of Texas. Since the completion of his NCAA days, Joe has run professionally with Zap Endurance in North Carolina.
The variety of topics covered is fitting for a man of such range, with personal bests from 3:39 for 1500m all the way up to 2:13 in the marathon. From his origins in running, high school rivalries & building one of the state's top teams at an MPS school, to meditation, David Foster Wallace, and Gordon Lightfoot, Joe's ability to discuss anything and everything made for a heck of a conversation, and one that pairs well with a quality cup of coffee.
