Today on The Wisdom Movers Podcast, I’m honored to welcome Gaylen Wilson—a man whose life story is a living testament to resilience, reinvention, and the power of second chances.
Gaylen is a heart transplant survivor, 20-years sober, relationship author, erectile dysfunction advocate, and Certified Thriving Relationship Coach. But beyond the titles, his journey is one marked by some of life’s hardest battles—farm failure, career collapse, addiction, financial pressure, health crises, and the fight for survival itself.
In 2014, a virus attacked his heart and left him in end-stage heart failure. After years of uncertainty and living on borrowed time, he received a life-saving heart transplant in 2018—an experience that changed everything and forced him to ask one profound question: what do you do with years you were never guaranteed?
Since then, Gaylen has dedicated his life to helping others navigate not only relationships, but also the hidden struggles men face—especially around identity, intimacy, shame, and healing.
This conversation is about survival, masculinity, relationships, health, and what it truly means to rebuild yourself when life tears everything apart.
Gaylen, welcome to The Wisdom Movers Podcast.
