We Were Always Equal
Gender Equality, Feminism & Challenging Social Hierarchies
The WISDOM Podcast with Dorothy Zennuriye Juno
What if equality was never something we needed to become worthy of ~ but something that was always true?
Women did not need a movement to make them equal. The women's movement was necessary because laws, institutions and cultural expectations failed to honour the equality that already existed.
In this thought-provoking episode of ask dorothy, Dorothy Zennuriye Juno explores feminism, gender equality, patriarchy and the human-made hierarchies that have shaped our understanding of power, privilege and human worth.
From women's rights and the freedom to question authority to the ways we internalize social expectations, this conversation invites us to examine a profound distinction: systems of inequality can create real consequences without making inequality in human worth true.
We explore how to recognize invented hierarchies, challenge discrimination and reclaim the freedom to define ourselves beyond limiting cultural beliefs ~ while honouring the generations who fought to make equality more fully reflected in everyday life.
Because knowing our own worth is only part of the journey. Living equality also asks us to recognize the same inherent dignity in every other human being.
Why the women's movement challenged inequality rather than created women's equality
How patriarchy, sexism, racism and class hierarchies shape social expectations
The difference between inherent human worth and unequal access to rights, power and opportunity
Why authority, tradition and cultural acceptance do not always reflect truth or justice
How to recognize and question limiting beliefs about gender, identity and self-worth
Why equality does not mean sameness ~ and how to honour differences without creating superiority
How to live equality through conscious choices, relationships and everyday actions
No one is inherently above you. And no one is inherently beneath you.
Recognize the hierarchy.
Challenge its consequences.
Refuse its premise.
Live your equality.
What invented hierarchy have I been giving authority to in the way I see myself or another person?
And if I truly knew that no one was inherently above me ~ and no one inherently beneath me ~ how would I choose to show up in my life?
If this conversation has stirred something in you, I invite you to continue exploring what it means to live with greater awareness, freedom, compassion and love.

The Art of Comfort
Discover What Truly Supports You
The WISDOM Podcast with Dorothy Zennuriye Juno
What actually comforts you ~ and how well do you know what genuinely supports you when life feels difficult, overwhelming or simply asks more of you?
Comfort is deeply personal.
For one person, it may be stillness. For another, movement. It may be solitude or connection. Familiarity or something new. A boundary. A conversation. Music. Prayer. Fresh air. Rest.
And sometimes, what once comforted us is no longer what we need.
Today on The WISDOM Podcast, I'm sharing The Art of Comfort ~ A 30-Day Journey to Discover Your Own Language of Comfort, a new experience inside JUNO exploring self-care, mindfulness, emotional wellbeing and the deeply personal ways we learn to recognize and respond to what we need.
Over thirty days, we move through four gentle stages:
Discovering Comfort ~ What feels comforting and supportive to me?
Creating Comfort ~ What can I offer myself or change around me?
Receiving Comfort ~ What happens when I allow myself to be supported?
Embodying Comfort ~ How can comfort become part of the way I live?
This isn't about making life comfortable all of the time.
It is about knowing yourself more deeply ~ noticing what helps, recognizing what you need and becoming increasingly able to care for yourself within the life you are actually living.
Because perhaps comfort begins not with knowing what should help...
but with becoming curious about what actually does. 💗
We explore what comfort actually means; why comfort and self-care are deeply personal; how to begin recognizing what genuinely supports you; the difference between what should feel comforting and what actually does; and how The Art of Comfort can help you begin discovering your own language of comfort.

Speak Your Truth
How Honest Conversation Can Deepen Intimacy In Your Relationship
The WISDOM Podcast with Dorothy Zennuriye Juno
How well can someone truly know us if we aren't allowing ourselves to be fully known?
Two people can love one another, build a life together and share decades of experiences — and still hold back parts of themselves.
Not necessarily secrets.
Sometimes it's a preference. A disappointment. Something you need. Something you want but haven't asked for. Something you've changed your mind about. Something your partner does that bothers you. Something you think or feel but decide is easier not to say.
In this episode of The WISDOM Podcast, we explore what it means to speak your truth in an intimate relationship — and why honest conversation can become an invitation into deeper intimacy.
Speaking your truth isn't about saying everything that enters your mind or using honesty as permission to be insensitive or cruel. Relational honesty asks for something more: ownership, care and a willingness to let another person know what is true for you.
We explore why some of us learn to accommodate rather than speak, how seemingly small moments of withholding can accumulate over time, and why there is an important difference between peace and simply avoiding the truths that might disturb one another.
You'll also learn a simple practice for beginning these conversations: giving your truth a preface — helping your partner understand that you're not trying to attack or necessarily asking them to fix something; you're practising allowing yourself to be known.
And because intimacy requires both speaking and listening, we turn the question around:
Am I someone my partner can be honest with?
Can I become curious before I become defensive? Can I hear my partner's preference without interpreting it as rejection? Can I make room for their experience even when it differs from mine?
Because the goal isn't always agreement.
Perhaps it is something more intimate:
Two people willing to know — and to be known.
We explore:
Perhaps there are two questions to sit with:
What haven't I been allowing my partner to know about me?
It might be a preference. A feeling. A longing. Something you need. Something you've changed your mind about. Something you'd like more of — or less of.
And then:
How safe do I make it for my partner to tell me their truth?
Perhaps intimacy isn't created by knowing everything about one another.
Perhaps it grows through a continuing willingness to say:
I want you to know me.
Because loving someone doesn't mean we've finished discovering them.

Begin Again
A Gentle Invitation to Live ANEW
The WISDOM Podcast with Dorothy Zennuriye Juno
What if beginning again didn't mean starting over?
What if it meant pausing long enough to notice where you are now — what matters, what has changed, what you are ready to choose, and what may quietly be asking to begin within you?
In this episode of The WISDOM Podcast, Dorothy invites you into the heart of ANEW — a 30-day journey of gentle new beginnings that begins September 1st inside JUNO.
ANEW isn't a challenge. And you don't need to meditate every day, have a journaling practice, or consider yourself particularly self-aware to begin.
You simply begin where you are.
Throughout September, ANEW offers a gentle daily rhythm for becoming more present to your life: a morning reflection and invitation, space to journal if you choose, an Evening Return, occasional guided audio practices, and weekly live ANEW Gatherings.
But beneath all of this is a much simpler invitation:
What wants to begin within you now?
Perhaps there is something you want to return to.
Something you are ready to make room for.
A way you want to feel.
A choice you have been postponing.
Something you've outgrown.
Something that matters more than you've been allowing yourself to acknowledge.
Or perhaps you don't know yet.
ANEW gives you somewhere to begin discovering.
Dorothy explores what it really means to begin again — not by discarding the life you've already lived, but by listening more closely to the person you are now.
You'll hear about:
ANEW is ultimately an invitation to spend a month in conscious relationship with your own life.
Not fixing yourself.
Not becoming someone else.
Not getting thirty days “right.”
But noticing.
Listening.
Choosing.
And allowing what matters to become a little more visible.
What wants to begin within me now?
You don't need to have the answer.
Perhaps September can simply become the place where you begin to listen.
ANEW begins September 1st inside JUNO.
Your journey includes the complete 30-day experience, your ANEW journal, weekly live ANEW Gatherings, guided audio practices and a private space to move through the month together.
You can enter exactly as you are.
ANEW is not about starting over.
Come home.
Let's begin again — gently. 💗

Wanting to Want It
Understanding Desire ~ and Creating More Room for Pleasure
The WISDOM Podcast with Dorothy Zennuriye Juno
What happens when you love your partner...
but don't particularly feel like having sex?
Or when you miss wanting sex — perhaps even more than you miss sex itself?
In this episode of The WISDOM podcast, we explore one of the most tender and often misunderstood experiences within long-term relationships: the changing nature of sexual desire.
Desire doesn't always arrive spontaneously.
Sometimes it emerges through closeness, touch, pleasure, emotional safety and the experience of beginning.
And when two people experience desire differently, an unexpected relational conundrum can appear: one person may seek sexual intimacy as a way of feeling emotionally connected, while the other may need emotional connection before sexual desire has room to emerge.
Neither experience is inherently wrong.
But without understanding the difference, couples can begin interpreting each other's behaviour as rejection, pressure, indifference or lack of love.
Together, we'll explore spontaneous and responsive desire, desire discrepancy, the relationship between emotional and sexual connection, and why pleasure itself can become an important pathway back to wanting.
Most importantly, this conversation invites us away from the question:
“What's wrong with my desire?”
and toward something far more compassionate and useful:
Because sometimes wanting doesn't begin with desire.
Sometimes it begins with closeness.
With feeling understood.
With affection.
With touch.
With pleasure.
With allowing the body enough time to discover what it wants.
A conversation about sex, yes.
But perhaps even more...
a conversation about how we find our way toward one another. 💗
We explore:
Rather than asking yourself:
Why don't I want sex more often?
Try asking:
What helps you feel connected?
Safe?
Playful?
Present in your body?
Free from pressure?
Able to receive pleasure?
Curious about your partner?
There may be important information in your answers.
If this conversation has stirred something in you, there's more waiting inside JUNO — meditations, wisdom, practices and tools for living more consciously, compassionately and wholeheartedly.

Grateful Glow ~ A Meditation for Receiving the Good That is Already Here
The WISDOM Podcast with Dorothy Zennuriye Juno
'What would it look like to let this gratitude change the way I meet my life?'
What changes when gratitude becomes something we experience rather than something we try to feel?
Grateful Glow is a gentle anchoring meditation for noticing and receiving what is already meaningful in your life — without denying what is difficult or asking yourself to manufacture positivity.
Through breath, awareness and quiet reflection, you'll be invited to notice something you appreciate, recognize something within yourself that deserves acknowledgement, and experience the subtle shift that can happen when your attention rests for a moment on what is good, meaningful and sustaining.
This isn't gratitude as an obligation.
It's gratitude as another way of seeing — a way of allowing the goodness that is already present to register more fully within you.
Gratitude doesn't require a perfect life.
It doesn't ask you to overlook what hurts or convince yourself that everything is good.
Sometimes gratitude is much quieter than that.
It is the moment you notice:
This matters to me.
I'm grateful this is part of my life.
There is goodness here that I want to receive.
And perhaps that is the glow.
Not something we manufacture.
Not something we have to hold onto.
But the quiet light that appears when we allow ourselves to recognize what is meaningful.
You don't have to search for something extraordinary to feel grateful.
You can notice what is already meaningful.
You can receive the good that is here.
And you can let it illuminate the way you live.

Micropractice: Finding Harmony | A Mindfulness Practice for Slow Living
The WISDOM Podcast with Dorothy Zennuriye Juno
The practice itself is only a few minutes — but the invitation is something you can carry with you throughout the day.
In this episode of The WISDOM podcast, Dorothy invites you into a gentle micropractice of mindfulness, nature, balance and slow living.
The central practice takes just 2–5 minutes, offering you a moment to pause, notice your surroundings, reconnect with your own rhythm and ask:
Where is there harmony here?
The episode also includes a gentle invitation into Into Calm, continuing the exploration of what happens when we slow down enough to become present to ourselves and the world around us.
If this micropractice gave you a moment to pause, notice and reconnect, there’s more waiting inside JUNO — meditations, Wisdom Teachings, practices and tools for living more consciously, compassionately and wholeheartedly.

Before You Swipe: Online Dating Red Flags, Discernment & Self-Awareness
The WISDOM Podcast with Dorothy Zennuriye Juno
Online dating has made it easier than ever to find people—but has it made it easier to truly know them?
In this episode of The WISDOM Podcast, Dorothy explores what it means to date with greater discernment, honesty and self-awareness in a world of dating profiles, swiping and seemingly endless choice.
Through a real-life client story, we explore the difference between screening for preferences and recognizing character, and why consistency, honesty, emotional maturity and shared values may tell us far more about a potential partner than a photograph or profile ever can.
You'll discover how to:
Before you swipe, pause.
Know yourself.
And remember:
You don't have to become the person someone else is looking for.
The goal is to have the courage to be fully yourself—and allow the right person to recognize you.
