Beth Worsdell chats with Fox Pointe Publishing, fantasy author, Raven Eckman about her debut book, Shadowspeak, which will be released this February, and her career as an editor.  

Raven's Bio: Raven is a freelance editor by night and fangirl at every other available opportunity.  She always knew books were her passion, well after her grandmother’s challenge to read a book a day, and obtained her B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Arcadia University. Over the past four years, she has worked with a range of authors, both self-published and traditionally published, on short stories and novels from horror to contemporary in YA and Adult fiction. Currently, she’s drowning in her TBR list, drafting her second WIP, brainstorming a new project, and expanding her freelancing business—all while looking for more bookish things to get involved with. Her debut novel, Shadowspeak, will be published by Fox Pointe Publishing, LLP, in February 2021.

Historical novelist, playwright, and writer/creator of music, Elliot Baker is a man of many talents. Listen as Beth Worsdell chats with Elliott about his many writing passions and what makes him tick on The Witty Writers Show.   Elliott's Bio: Award-winning novelist and international playwright Elliott Baker grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Having bumped into many different experiences in this lifetime, from polishing copper pots in a St. Moritz, Switzerland hotel to monitoring EKG patients, shoveling chicken droppings, and many, many, others, all the way back to his first job in a men's clothing store, the excitement of learning something new never waned.  With five musicals and one play published and produced throughout the United States, in New Zealand, Portugal, England, and Canada, Elliott changed again, (No surprise there.) and is pleased to offer The Sun God's Heir trilogy. A member of the Authors Guild and the Dramatists Guild, Elliott lives in New Hampshire with his still very supportive wife Sally Ann. The kids all made it through school and are out making their own changes.

Stefanie's Bio:  Stefanie was born in Philadelphia P.A. and raised in New York.  As a young child, Stefanie remembers her mother always having a book in one hand and a cup of tea in the other. She credits her mother for her own love of reading and writing, "We always had books."  Stefanie feels this early exposure is what gave her the desire to create her own stories.  Through the years, her husband encouraged (insisted) her to pursue her dreams. In 2019 she published her first novel, The Smoke Tree.  Stefanie released her second book, The Smoke Tree: Broken Branches, in December 2020.

After a strange couple of years and with the help and encouragement of my husband, who is my own hero, I decided life is too short and picked up writing again and I decided to try my hand at indie publishing. This is where I am now, even though my 16-year-old daughter cringes, lol. I have 11 books published now and I’m working on my 12th.
