This Good Friday, as we reflect on the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ upon the cross, it is fitting to take a look at ourselves and ask what sacrifice God requires of us.

This is a more topical episode.  We discuss getting triggered or as it was called when Bones and I worked together: Getting pulled off your square.  It is vital that if we are going to be led by the Holy Spirit and be used to do Kingdom Work, that we don't allow things to get under our skin to the point of losing focus so that we aren't hearing from God.

We conclude our discussion of Malachi.  We discuss attitudes about giving, as well as the role of both believers and the corporate church bodies.  We also talk about how the same trials and fire can consume that which is cheap and wicked, while at the same time purify that which is precious and valuable, increasing its worth.

In this WOFOYO Short, C-Dub talks about how God often uses those outside of a situation to assess what is going on.  In addition, we often get too close to a situation so that we get our focus off God and fail to accurately see what's going on.

We shift gears in our discussion of Malachi.  We see in the first five verses of the chapter that God is revealing why He's addressing us to consider our ways.  Timeless as the Word of God is, this passage is still as profound and fitting as when it was written almost 2500 years ago.  If we find out it's not working, here's an incentive to get it right.

In this WOFOYO Short, We talk about knowing the difference between God's Love and God's Approval.  In today's current church environment, there is a trend towards polarization and it's not healthy.  God's Word shows us that God's Love and Approval aren't the same and there's an important role that Grace as well as boundaries play in the process.

We continue to get into Malachi and observe the parallels between that time and today and how some of the same attitudes that the Lord is addressing are still prevalent.
Specifically we get into how and improper attitude can turn a material blessing into a curse and how we are seeing many diseases of excess in our culture today....or as Bones says- "First World Problems."     #wofoyo

Are you not getting the results out of your walk with God that you'd like?  Are you doing it the way it's always been done?  This is the situation that the Priests of Israel were in when God spoke to Malachi and it's a very pertinent book for today.  
Be forewarned, C-Dub goes off and uses some terms you probably won't like but it was to make a point.  To be honest, what God addresses through Malachi is an attitude that most of us have at one time or another, if we're honest.  God tells us to consider our ways and adjust what we're doing and how we're thinking accordingly.
