We get into more examples in Scripture which show that True, God-Ordained Authority will always prevail over false and usurped authority and get into some of the dynamics in these stories and discuss how they apply today.

Recently the Lord shared something during a church service with C-Dub which is the topic of discussion.  The message was simple: True authority will always prevail over counterfeit authority.  So we get into the Word and find Biblical examples of this principle just to make sure C-Dub isn't full of it.

C-Dub continues to tell what happened when he went to church on New Year's Eve and Day.  We take a few rabbit trails, but also get into important discussion on what to do when God tells you to talk, the importance of humility, and the benefits of simplifying your life and learning how to be alone with God.  We then get on the topic of our favorite pizza in Southern IL.

We celebrate two years of the WOFOYO Podcast by recapping main topics this year and what we're planning on talking about next year.  We also take our obligatory rabbit trails and even talk about Christmas with the family.

Paul made tents.  Might have been traditional Middle Eastern tents.  Might have been prayer shawls.  This ability to earn a living and be able to support the ministry helped him network and be more effective.  Yet in some circles, anything that doesn't happen in or involving church is declared to be worldly and sinful.  So we stir the pot and show that whatever God has called you to do is holy.

With all the noise that's out there this time of year, we thought we'd get everyone focused on what's important and why we do what we do. Merry Christmas.

We've talked about how Antiochus Epiphanes defiled the Temple and how the Maccabees resisted. We also talked about parallels between that time and this and how defilement affects us personally, corporately, and nationally.  In this episode we read how the Temple was cleansed and true worship restored in the hopes that we can apply this in our lives today.

We're going to get into something we usually don't.  We're going to read from the original 1611 King James in the book of 1st Maccabees and get into the story of Hanukkah or the Feast of Dedication, which Jesus is recorded as celebrating.  In this episode, we get into what led to Antiochus Epiphanes desecrating the Temple and defiling the Brazen Altar with a sow.  You might be surprised to find that there are significant parallels to what led to that event and the state of the Western Church today.
