  • The Wolf and the bear welcome Brenda MacIntyre "Medicine Song Woman"
Tonight Raventalker and I have the pleasure of welcoming Medicine Song Woman, Brenda MacIntyre to our fire. When I first heard the Music that came from Brenda's Drum drum, I felt the energy lift me from the place I was in. I remember at that moment I felt there was such a purpose in this woman's work I had to share it with as many as I could.
Now three years after first hearing her, I am honored and humbled that she now joins us here on the Wolf and the bear. Please help us welcome her to our ever growing family.
Brenda MacIntyre is known as Medicine Song Woman and her latest music is filled with reasons why. Haunting Aboriginal chants, uplifting lyrics and soulful vocals mingle with African/Aboriginal percussion, evocative guitar, bass and Middle Eastern flute.
Based in Toronto, Brenda performs and speaks internationally and has been featured nationally on MuchMusic, APTN, OMNI, CTV, Global, Vision and Telelatino Network. Her last CD was nominated for a 2007 Aboriginal People’s Choice Award and Brenda was Toronto’s 2007 Aboriginal Businesswoman of the Year.
Her latest CD Medicine Song was released in August 2009 and has enjoyed airplay on CBC, CIUT 89.5 FM and other radio stations across Canada. “Back in the River” (Track 13) was featured as “Our Pick” in September 2009 on CFWE FM in Edmonton.
"Her latest album showcases Brenda's amazing voice and range."
--CBC Radio One's "Fresh Air" producer Mariel Borelli
Her healing music energizes and calms audiences all at once, while her clear voice leaves you with goosebumps.

Some of which are mentioned in some of their stories.
Quiet Hawk and New Moon Rising are both of Abenaki descent. Together with all the stories and life’s lessons they have gathered, they are very popular storytellers at Pow Wows and Native gatherings. • the Wolf and the bear welcome James Riverstone
Join us as James Riverstone begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting discusses the Andean Medicine Way and the adventures of trekking a shamanic path with global intent. Linked into the thread of Knowledge with the Mayan and the Hopi prophecies, the Inka cosmology calls for the "Age of Meeting Ourselves". A weaver of light, ceremonialist, healer and friend. The ancient teachings of the Inka have been embodied by James so that he can share his own personal medicine traits with the support of the lineage itself. From the jungles of the Amazon to the high Andean mountains, James will guide us into sacred aspects of Inka cosmology. He has found that the fulfillment of prophecy is exactly what his work reveals. It is about illuminating the world and her people through means of love at a most dangerous time.
The mythical path of shapeshifting, invisibility, protection and healing with light are all the hallmarks of a shaman's path. Indigenous Curanderos, Brugos, Pagos, Ayahuascaro, Tobacohuascaros are all roles of those who cross over into other realms for healing of the Earth and her children. Learning to navigate these worlds is key to shifting realities here in the present. This medicine tradition is one to be shared not contained.
Come and share with us as we welcome James to the fire!
