Between 1993 and 2008, a series of crimes left many in Germany stumped. Ranging from simple robberies to brutal murders, and encompassing regions as far as Austria and France, authorities were puzzled by the evidence that they found: the presence of DNA from a single female in each of these seemingly disparate cases. Leading many to refer to this mysterious criminal as "The Woman Without a Face".
