In this new episode I'm having a conversation with Brooke Kekos and Angeline Constantinou about domestic violence. Brooke and Angeline were both in a long term relations ship and were abused by their partners. They share their personal and powerful stories about how they freed themselves from their abusive partners, started over and now dedicate their lives to help other women break free from their toxic relationships. My name is Tina de Keyzer, welcome to a new episode of The Women's Table.
Dutch women lack ambition on the workfloor, they are being called lazy, parttime princesses and there is the accusation of wasting publics money on an education that has been paid for, but never been used and on top of that stay at home moms are a bad example for children.
In this episode Johanna Spiller and I talk about what happens when women start their careers in The Netherlands. And is working parttime indeed a problem and if so, why is that a problem? Are we, Dutch women, aware of the financial consequences of our choice of working parttime and is parttime working an actual free choice? Welcome to a new episode of The Womens Table.

We have created a culture that tells women the most important thing they can be is beautiful. Then we pummel them with a standard of beauty they will never meet. After that, when they worry about beauty, we call them superficial. Or even worse, we dismiss their concerns altogether by saying 'everyone is beautiful in their own way', and admonishing them to accept themselves the way they are. In this episode Heather Stark and I will be talking about the history of beauty culture, the beauty myth. Why is it that women are so obsessed with their looks, with their appearances or is it society that puts pressure on women to be beautiful? My name is Tina de Keyzer and I'd like to invite you to join us in another episode of The Women's Table.
Why don't enough women make it to the top of organizations? Are there no women available, is there no demand for women at the top? Are women not ambitious enough and do they rather stay home with their children? In this new episode Esha Mendiratta and I talk about women and leadership and why it is so hard for women to make it to the top. We also discuss the women's quota in the Netherlands, why do we need a quota and what's wrong with going for the best person for the job? Welcome to another episode of The Women's Table.
