Manchester United were again at the forefront of controversy this week and it was not for good reason. It was a dark couple of days for football as a whole. The supposed "big" clubs in the world showed who they really are and Owners were publicly embarrassed on a grand scale. The proposed "Super league" was a huge joke ran by more jokes. With that been said, the idea was not the worst. The execution however, was absolutely shocking.
Manchester United displayed an enormous amount of guts to pull of a second half masterclass they way they did in North London over the weekend. The Hosts were essentially put to the sword by the visitors in the second 45 minutes. Ole's men showed that even with a match mid week, they can play well against "big" sides. Meanwhile, Jose is deflecting the storylines from his teams poor showing to kids eating food. In other news, Jesse Lingard scores a brace in West Ham's 3-2 win over Leicester City. El Classico finished with a Real Madrid win and Champions League second legs.......and Europa league as well.
It was the Red's collecting 2 away goals and all three points in Spain on Thursday night. United will go into the second leg with an advantage, but also a couple of suspensions for key starters. A date with Tottenham over the weekend is going to be a marquee matchup, amongst others.
With the NBA season coming down the home stretch, more and more storylines are being made as the post season approaches. Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis, and Lebron James should all be returning for the playoffs. The Knicks are in a playoff spot (for the time being) and the Utah Jazz are STILL the best team in the league. Huge thanks to John Hartofilis for his input and his time to make this podcast episode a success. Check out his work below

It took everything and it definitely wasn't easy, but Manchester United are through to the quarterfinals of the Europa League via a 1-0 win at the San Siro. Milan were the victims of Manchester United's superb away record which now stretches to 23 games unbeaten away from Old Trafford. It's an amazing accomplishment for the Manchester side, but surely they know now that this competition is there's to lose. The Europa and Champions League draws are set and the matches are very tantalizing! Plus, the legacies of the two greatest players of this generation NOT in the next round of Champions League. Some people are perhaps this is it for them, is it?
Manchester United concede a late set piece goal to give AC Milan a draw at Old Trafford during the week. A Milan side that was multiple key players I might add. Some would say that they made up for that performance by keeping a clean sheet versus the Hammers in Manchester. Either way, United are going to have to travel to Italy for the reverse leg during the week. They will put that away record they have on the line on Thursday evening at the San Siro. Wilfred Zaha's message is bigger than football and it needs to be heard and heeded to. I'm also analyzing the rest of the key games in the Premier League.
Manchester is RED! Just as its always been, actually. The Red Devils had Guardiola's men shook from the very start of the match and United didn't let that go for 90 minutes. It was a display of tremendous resilience and effort from a United side that has been in a shaky bit of form as of late nevertheless they left the Etihad with all three points. Now eleven points off of the first place side, does Manchester United have enough to potentially force this title race to the final day of the campaign?
Manchester United and Chelsea play out another nil nil draw (played 0-0 on Oct 24 2020). It was full players not really going for it on both sides, and then, of course, VAR peeped its disgusting head in this match as well. Also, no Zlatan when AC Milan take on United in the next round of Europa League?
Manchester United have moved on to the Europa League round of 16 where they are favorites to win the competition . This result is on the heels of a 3-1 win vs Newcastle United over the weekend in which Marcus Rashford, Dan James, and Bruno Fernandes all got on the score sheet. The Reds have managed to maintain that 2nd position in the Premier League title race.
