Welcome to The Word Became Fresh, the Bible-teaching ministry of Pastor Sebastian Petz from The WORD Church LA.
In today’s episode, we step into one of the most dramatic moments in John’s Gospel. It’s the last and greatest day of the Feast of Tabernacles. The water-pouring ritual has just ended. The priests and people stand in anticipation. And in that climactic silence, Jesus stands and cries out:
"If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’"
The words electrify the crowd. Some are stirred with faith. Others are split with confusion. The temple guards are undone, admitting, "No one ever spoke like this man!" But the religious leaders harden even further, their blindness deepening as they reject the One standing before them.
As Pastor Sebastian unpacks this powerful passage, we’ll see how Jesus reveals Himself as the true source of living water—the fulfillment of God’s promises, the satisfaction of the soul’s thirst, and the fountain of the Spirit.
Let’s listen in as Christ’s voice echoes through the centuries, inviting the thirsty, exposing unbelief, and pointing us to the life only He can give.
