In the last in the series on the Lordship of Jesus, we explore the challenge to be devoted to Him. We are called to a whole life focus and commitment to Jesus, channelled through regular and powerful prayer times. We are called to demonstrate that devotion by sharing our passion for Him with others in our lives too.

The hardest place to live out Christian values is in the home. Counter intuitive though that may be, we are called to honour him as we honour one another in close family relationships. How can we love others as Christ loves us, submit to others as He submits to the Father and not frustrated each other in the everyday things of life?

The most important thing? To know that the message of Christ brings us peace – a peace so deep that grows as we become closer in our relationship with the Lord. The message is that we should love God and love others wholeheartedly for the Kingdom of God is near. It’s time to follow Him, to seek first the Kingdom and to enter into it.
