The wine supply ran out during the festivities, and Jesus’ mother came to him with the problem. John 2:3 (TLB)

Today's sermon was a prophetic one. I pray we hold on to it, meditate and confess it till we experience all the goodness that God has for us in this season!

“Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You’re going to need lots of elbow room to contain the Goodness of the Lord in this season!"

Isaiah 54:1‭-‬6 MSG- Abridged

The Wedding at Canaan (John 2: 1-12) was well planned yet they ran out of wine. (I think this is one of the reasons the Bible says that ".. the race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all!"

Ecc. 9:11).

'Running out' does not necessarily mean the end of the story. In fact, it is not necessarily bad to 'run out'! How can we receive the new if we do not run out of the old?

The miracle at the Canaan wedding was the first miracle of Jesus recorded in the Bible; so most likely, the people had not heard of Jesus, they had not seen Him perform any miracle before then to build their faith in Him, yet the servants obeyed Jesus and carried out His instructions completely and expectantly!

*The quantity of water poured in the pot was the same quantity of wine they received.* An overflow of the pot guaranteed an overflow of good wine!

*IN THIS SEASON, OBEDIENCE IS KEY!* And it's not partial obedience, we must obey God's instructions to the fullest. This is what guarantees an overflow of His goodness!
