The resurrection of Lazarus is a turning point in John's Gospel, and directly leads to the events of Palm Sunday. Jesus tells Martha "I am the Resurrection and the Life," and asks here, "Do you believe this?" This is the question facing each one of us during Holy Week.

We continue to explore Christ's saving work in his exaltation, looking at the significance of the Ascension for our Christian faith.

Rev. Lee shows how Paul's exhortation to the "strong" and "weak" to welcome one another in the church points toward the gospel hope that is promised to us all, the overcoming of all alienation and estrangement in the new creation.

Rev. Lee looks at how the cross is the very center of the church's proclamation of Christ, and how the the creedal teaching on the Trinity and the human and divine natures in Christ is the necessary foundation for this proclamation.

Rev. Lee unpacks Paul's teaching about the governing authorities in chapter 13, and the ever-difficult command that Christians have to submit to these divine servants. These servants are legitimate, but provisional, and common, yet accountable.
