THE WORD

Jesus saves and He is able to keep us saved, proving that all the glory for our salvation goes totally to Him. In this sermon from JOHN 10:22-42, you will hear the truth proclaimed concerning the keeping hand of God in the lives of His children.

After leading the formerly blind man to faith, Jesus declares Himself to be the good shepherd, which was an indirect rebuke of Israel's bad religious leadership, relating them to thieves and robbers. In this teaching, the hearer is encouraged to follow the good shepherd in every area of life, resulting in our being like Him.

From this amazing story of Jesus healing a blind man - with dirt and spit - on the Sabbath Day, the truth is told about different kinds of blindness and our need for the healing of Christ's ministry.

Pastor Garry Spotts delivers a masterful discourse on the humanity of Christ and why He prayed. While not coming from John's Gospel, we felt our JESUS IS Series would not be as complete without this important sermon.

From the story of Jesus washing His disciples dirty feet, Greg Harrell declares the truth concerning God's strong love for us.

While declaring His divinity, Christ appeared to be blasphemous to those religious leaders who would not believe in Him. In applying the penalty for such a perceived wrong, these unbelievers began plotting His death, which would result in fulfilling God's plan for His Son to die unjustly.

Be inspired by this motivating and edifying word from Bill Leckie, who challenged us all to pursue our God given purposes with courage.

Embracing the truth of this sermon will surely change the lives of all who listen. Just as the finished works of Jesus frees us from the penalty of sin, so the heeded words of Jesus frees us from the power of sin.

Through Jesus Christ's offering up of Himself for our sins, we have freedom from the plight of dying in our sins. This is the gospel to be declared to and through us all.

Immediately following His delivering of a woman caught in adultery, Christ declares Himself to be the light of the world, Who, if followed, will lead His followers from darkness to the light of life.

This teaching concludes with our call to be His light in the world.
