When are you finally going to have time to take care of yourself?
When the homeschool gets easier? When the kids need you less? When your business slows down or you hire someone?
The truth is, life probably isn’t going to slow down. And if you keep waiting for the “perfect” time to take care of yourself, you may keep putting your own health and energy last.
As a working homeschool mom, you’re juggling your kids, homeschool, your business, your home, and all the little things that seem to need your attention every day. But taking care of yourself doesn’t have to mean adding another complicated routine to your already-full schedule.
In this episode, I’m talking with Courtney Greedy from Healthy Habits for Homeschool Moms about creating healthy routines that actually fit into real life. We’re talking about the small, intentional habits that can help you have more energy, take better care of yourself, and show up as the mom and business owner you want to be.
We also talk about why waiting for life to slow down can keep you stuck, how rest can sometimes be the most productive thing you can do, and why your kids benefit from seeing you model healthy habits, too.
You don’t need an hour at the gym or a completely different schedule. You can start right where you are with small routines that support the life you’re already living.
Life isn’t going to slow down. You don’t have to wait for it to take care of yourself.
You can start small. You can make room for healthy habits right in the middle of your real, messy, busy life.
And sometimes, taking care of yourself looks less like doing more and more like knowing when it’s time to rest.
And if listening to this episode has you thinking, “Okay, but how do I actually make time for all of this when I’m homeschooling and trying to grow my business?” I’d love to chat with you.

Does your morning feel like it's always falling apart?
As a working homeschool mom, your morning has a lot riding on it. You’re getting yourself ready, getting the kids moving, starting homeschool, managing your home, taking care of yourself, and trying to make time for work—all before the day has really begun.
But what if you don’t need a perfect morning routine? What if you simply need a routine that actually works for your family and the season you're in?
Today we are talking about morning routines. I’m walking you through my own morning routine and what I’ve learned about creating a morning that doesn’t leave me feeling behind. I am also going to help you identify the parts of your morning that are destroying your day.
We’ll talk about why predictable routines matter, how to give your kids more responsibility in the morning, and what you can do the night before to make mornings easier.
I am going to show you five steps you can take to build a morning routine around the life you’re actually living, not the life you think your morning is supposed to look like.
Don’t try to completely overhaul your morning tomorrow.
Instead, figure out what the one thing is that consistently makes your morning harder. I am telling you in the episode what the one thing in my morning routine was that was derailing my day.
Ask yourself:
What could I change, prepare, delegate, or eliminate to make this easier?
Start there.
You don't need a perfect morning. You need a rhythm that helps you and your family.
A simplified morning isn't about fitting more into your morning. It's about removing the chaos so you have more time for what actually matters.

Does your schedule feel like it’s getting out of control? Do you feel the weight on your shoulders getting heavier and heavier? Between homeschool, work, activities, appointments, meals, and all the everyday things that come with being a mom, it’s easy to find yourself constantly feeling stressed out. Are you trying to fit more into your day?
But what if the answer isn’t a better schedule or another productivity hack? What if you need to simplify instead? What if it meant not starting new routines?
Today, we’re talking about what to do when your season gets busier and the routines that once worked no longer seem to fit. You’ll learn how to simplify your routines, create boundaries around what matters, and turn to God for wisdom instead of trying to figure everything out on your own.
We’ll talk about how to recognize when your routines need to change, why you don’t have to say yes to everything you can technically fit into your schedule, and how simplifying your days can create more space to be the present mom you want to be.
Most importantly, you’ll be encouraged to pause, pray, and ask God what belongs in this season of your family’s life—and what you can let go of.
You don't need to fit everything into your schedule just because you can.
Sometimes becoming a more present mom doesn't require finding more time, it means simplifying your day.
Pause. Pray. Simplify. Make room for what matters.
You don't have to do it all to be a good mom. You can simplify your days, protect what matters, and create more space to be present with the people you love.

Today I am sharing how we are responsible for raising kids to be responsible adults. They will be someone's spouse one day and maybe even a parent. We are raising them to be the best employees for their employers one day. We need to shift our mindset and stop feeling guilty for getting our kids to help at home. As a working homeschool mom, you can’t show up as a calm, present parent if you are constantly running around cleaning up after everyone.
We carry a lot as working homeschool moms, it's time to stop.
If you want more time to be a present mom with your kids, listen to the whole episode.

If this episode helped you find a little more peace today, would you share it with another working homeschool mom who needs to hear this?
If you are constantly overwhelmed and snapping at everyone, it's because you don't have boundaries in place to prevent burnout. As working moms, we are often overachievers and constantly think we need to say yes to everything and try to do it all.
Today I am chatting with Josie from The Ambitious Mindset Podcast. Together we are exploring emotions and subconscious patterns that lead to overwhelm in the home and burnout for the working mom. Josie shares 6 practical faith strategies and habits to restore peace, set healthier boundaries, and prioritize self-care without all the mom guilt.
Ask for Support: Communicating needs isn't failure; hold peaceful family meetings before reaching a breaking point.
Let Go of Control: Micromanaging stems from pride and fear—trust God and allow others to help.
Lower Unrealistic Expectations: Allow children to complete household tasks their own way to build confidence and give yourself grace.
Practice Morning Mindfulness & Stillness: Dedicate 5–30 minutes every morning to prayer, silence, and grounding before the day starts.
Set Work & Digital Boundaries: Learn to say "no" or communicate capacity limits at work, and consider weekend social media fasts to reclaim focus.
Invest in Your Personal Well-being: Fill your own cup first so you can care for your family from abundance rather than depletion.
Four Key Points for the Working Homeschool
Unpack the Mindset: High achievers are often conditioned to "push through" emotions, leading to subconscious triggers and sudden emotional outbursts at home.
Break the Cycle: Perfectionism and people-pleasing model unrealistic standards for children—especially young daughters who observe how parents handle failure and body image.
Mind the Stats: 80% of human thoughts are negative and 95% are repetitive. Common stressors like pile-ups in laundry are usually symptoms of deeper limiting beliefs about a lack of support.
Start Small: Implement only one strategy at a time to build sustainable, long-term daily habits rather than overwhelming your routine.
We need to remember that we don't need to strive to be perfect and to lean on God.

Have you ever closed your work laptop at 5:00 PM, walked into the kitchen, stared into the fridge, and felt an immediate wave of dread when your kids asked, "What's for dinner?" Or you have had to hit the drive-thru on your way home after soccer practice?
Work-life balance doesn't break down during your 9-to-5 day, it breaks down because you aren't meal planning and meal prepping for the week.
In this episode, I am talking about how when we don't meal plan, it just adds to our decision fatigue
A simple meal planning routine can buy back your peace of mind, save your household budget, and help you transition from overwhelmed working mom to calm, present parent. As working moms, we all want work-life balance, meal planning is a way to get us there.
We will talk about how to reduce decision fatigue, simple meal planning, and reduce overspending at the grocery store, all while teaching our kids about food budgets, meal planning, and meal prepping.
What happens to your evening mood when dinner is already solved before your workday even ends, and you don't have to get takeout for dinner?
When you meal plan, it gives you time to work and time to spend with your family. Maybe even have time for a game of Phase 10.
I know what it feels like to juggle being a working homeschool mom and always feel overwhelmed and behind. I also know that simple routines and habits help me to balance it all. I want the same for you. That's why I am hosting a Free 45 Minute Coffee Chat Balance Work and Homeschool on Friday, October 23, 2026.
