Russia increases hostility to Protestant missionaries

Last week, Russia’s Security Council recommended new measures against national and foreign religious groups deemed to have a negative impact in the country.

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin leads the council. Authorities fear that foreign states are using religion to interfere in the country’s affairs.

Over the last year, human rights organizations have warned of Russia’s restrictions on religious freedom and freedom of worship.

Protestants have faced the most repression under Russia’s “anti-missionary” laws that limit public demonstrations of faith.

European Commission furious with Hungary over protecting kids

Last Friday, the European Commission announced it is taking Hungary to the E.U.’s highest court over the country’s Children Protection Act.

Hungary has refused to revoke the act which bans the promotion of sexually perverted lifestyles to children in schools.

On Tuesday, Hungarian lawmakers passed a resolution calling for E.U. member states to be able to veto legislation from the union.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán  stated last year, “Here Brussels bureaucrats have no business at all, no matter what they do, we will not let LGBTQ activists among our children.”

British police drop bogus charges against praying pro-lifer

Police in the U.K. dropped charges against a 76-year-old woman who was arrested and fined last year for praying outside an abortion mill.

During lockdowns last year, Rosa Lalor was walking and praying near an abortion mill. A police officer stopped her to ask her why she was outdoors. The officer accused her of being there to protest. Police proceeded to arrest, detain, and fine her.

Alliance Defending Freedom defended Lalor. Jeremiah Igunnubole with ADF U.K. said, “This follows a worrying trend in law enforcement where individuals are routinely arrested simply because their views are considered to be controversial or offensive.”

Pro-abortion activists picketed in front of Supreme Court

PROTESTORS: “We won’t go back. We won’t go back. We won’t go back. We won’t go back. Our bodies, our choice. Our bodies, our choice. Our bodies, our choice.”

That is the sound of pro-abortion protestors outside the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday, reports ABC News.

U.S. Capitol Police arrested 34 people during the pro-abortion protest.

Among the arrests were 17 members of Congress including Democrat Representatives Katherine Clark of Massachusetts, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, and Jan Schakowsky of Illinois.

Ocasio-Cortez pretended to be handcuffed

Get this. Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put her arms behind her back for the cameras, pretending as though the police had handcuffed her, reports Fox News. However, she had never been handcuffed at all, as the New York Post documented in pictures.

In fact, at one moment, she raised her right hand in triumph to fellow pro-abortion activists, revealing her little secret.

Not surprisingly, lots of liberal media outlets showed pictures or video of Ocasio-Cortez with her hands behind her back as a police officer is escorting her, giving the clear impression, or misimpression, that she had been handcuffed.

In a hollow defense, the leftist Democrat from New York tweeted, “No faking here. Putting your hands behind your back is a best practice while detained, handcuffed or not, to avoid escalating charges like resisting arrest.”

The best practice when you’re being detained is to put your hands behind your back? Even if you haven’t been handcuffed? That’s news to The Worldview.

Children hiding in caves in Myanmar

Refugees International declared there is a dire need for humanitarian assistance in conflict-ridden Myanmar, reports International Christian Concern.

The military junta’s seizure of the Myanmar government on February 1, 2021 has been a disaster.  The violence in the Kayah state has led to widespread displacement with children hiding in caves and trenches, in constant fear of air raids.

To make matters worse, the Burmese Army has limited humanitarian assistance. Currently, over 14 million people need humanitarian aid in Myanmar.

Prayerfully consider helping the people of Myanmar through local missionaries and Christian Aid Mission.

Open Doors lists Myanmar as the 12th most difficult country in the world to be a Christian.

Two female inmates impregnated by “transgender” inmate

Surprise, surprise.

A 27-year-old male inmate, who is pretending to be a female, has impregnated not one, but two female inmates while incarcerated at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women in Clinton, New Jersey.

The guilty man’s name is Demitrius Minor. Despite his bizarre claim to be a woman, I guess even the liberals have to conclude he is actually a male.

Perhaps now the prison officials will reject their foolish June 29, 2021 policy change which allowed inmates to be housed in correctional facilities according to their so-called “gender identity.”

Of the 800 inmates housed at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women, 773 are female and 27 of them are male.

Christian pro-life flight attendant awarded $5 million from Southwest

A Southwest flight attendant, who alleged she was fired from her position due to her vocal religious opposition to abortion and union dues being used to support abortion-related causes, has won a $5.1 million federal lawsuit against her former employer and union, reports The Christian Post.

The National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation announced in a statement Thursday that Charlene Carter, a pro-life Christian, prevailed in her religious discrimination lawsuit with Southwest Airlines and the leftist  Transportation Workers Union of America.

Pro-lifers pack South Carolina hearing on abortion

After the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on Friday, June 24th, the South Carolina Heartbeat law, which had been blocked since February of 2021, went into effect on Monday, June 27th. The pro-life law lowered the ban on abortions in South Carolina from 20 weeks to 6 weeks.

However, pro-lifers hope to see all abortions made illegal from the moment of conception, even if the father is a criminal, because the child in the womb is innocent and created in God’s image.

Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created mankind in His own image.”

On July 7th, a South Carolina Ad Hoc Committee hosted a rare opportunity for public testimony on the future of abortion in the Palmetto State.

Thankfully, the majority of people who spoke were Christian pro-lifers. Many were motivated to come thanks to the promotion of Abolish Abortion South Carolina.

Alexia Newman, Director of the Carolina Pregnancy Center in Spartanburg, talked about the free help they offer.

Recently the Iranian government has begun renovation of a Protestant church-owned retreat center which the Muslim state confiscated and intends to repurpose reports International Christian Concern

TV station releases video inside Uvalde school

On Tuesday July 12th KVUE the ABC affiliate in Austin Texas released video inside Robb Elementary School in Uvalde Texas on the day 18-year-old Salvador Ramosfreely entered the school and holed up in a classroom where he killed 19 students and two teachers

The video is taken from security cameras outside the school and inside a school hallway

No one can be seen being shot No blood is shown Plus the audio of the screams of the children and teachers has been muted In fact all but one of the Uvalde families wanted this video to be released to the public

Three moments stand out

First after Ramos crashed a borrowed truck in a ditch near the school at 1128 am on May 24th two police officers went to investigate When they see the armed gunman emerge from the truck they run away at full speed one of them tripping on the ground

Second a little boy emerges in the hallway after having exited the bathroom sees the gunman at 1133am and the resulting gunfire into the classroom He runs down another hallway

Third while a variety of law enforcement personnel were present from several agencies it takes them a heartbreaking full hour to breach the classroom and shoot Ramos dead who had been hiding in a closet after the murders

KVUE Senior Investigative Reporter Tony Plohetski said this

PLOHETSKI You see them talking on their cell phones You can see them texting At one point they are clearly looking at what appears to be a diagram of the school and of that hallway

But the great unanswered question is Why they did not take more aggressive steps sooner With experts telling us over the past several weeks that in a situation like that what law enforcement is trained to do are take any steps possibly going through a window going through the roof ripping out sheet rock One expert said even if you must drive a car into the building you have to do something
