Putin curtails religious freedom again

Last month Russian President Vladimir Putinsigneda new amendment to the countrys Religion Law asserting more control over religious activities

The changes require missionaries and pastors who received their education outside of Russia to get state-sanctioned training

The law also prohibits nonprofit organizations from using religious identifiers in their name unless authorized by the government and allows the government to ban those it considers extremists from participating in religious groups

The new standards go into effect in October

China now allows up to 3 kids per family

On Monday Chinaincreasedtheir two-child limit per family to three children

The communist country is now facing the consequences of years of forced abortions and sterilizations as its population ages and birth rates decline

On April 5 2021 Pastor Sanjay Bhandari a pastor from Indias Karnataka state sustained multiple contusions and internal injuries from an aggravated assault by 60 radical Hindu nationalists reports International Christian Concern

From his hospital bed Pastor Bumbariya said I believe God has a definite purpose in keeping me alive I will carry on the ministry God has given to me We gave up so much already for the sake of our faith They took away our agricultural land they destroyed our house now they want our lives I am sure I cannot attend my fathers funeral now that I am almost on a death bed But I thank God for His mercies
