United Nations to Algeria Africa Stop shutting down churches

The United Nations Human Rights Council recently made public aletterit sent to the president of Algeria Africa last December The letter calls out Algeria for its human rights violations of closing Protestant churches

Authorities have shut down over 60 churches since 2018 This includes 49 churches from the Protestant organization Eglise Protestante dAlgrie

The UN letter called on authorities to investigate any violation committed against Protestant church leaders and toidentify and punishany responsible person

Mexico Protestants are increasing

Mexicos 2020 censusrevealedthe Protestant population of the country increased to 112 last year up from 75 in 2010

The number of Roman Catholics in the country has decreased from 98 to 77 over the last 70 years

Since the 1970s Protestantism hasincreasedfrom almost nothing to 19 while Roman Catholicism has decreased from over 90 to 69

41 of American adults have been harassed online

Pew Researchfoundthat 41 of US adults have experienced online harassment

Of those 19 say they were targeted for their religion up from 12 in 2017

White Evangelicals were the largest demographic to say they were harassed online for their religion at 29

Gunmen attack church service in Ghana

Three members of the Action Prayer Ministry in Kumasi Ghana were injured this past weekend when armed robbers attacked an all-night prayer service reports International Christian Concern

Gunmen fired into the congregation at 2am Saturday morning wounding the victims ranging from age 2 to 22 One member told The Daily Mail All three victims sustained minor gunshot wounds on their legs
