The report shows some 260 million Christians around the world face high levels of persecution across 73 countries over the last year An average of eight Christians were killed for their faith per day an average of 182 church buildings were attacked per week and an average of 309 Christians were imprisoned per month

KEVIN SWANSON Im sitting in a warehouse at Freeport Gospel Chapel surrounded by 150000 pounds of materials come by Generations and The Worldview humanitarian aid just over the last few weeks This marks the beginning of the Rebuild of Grand Bahama Island on the Bahamas after the Hurricane Dorian brought devastation to about 60 of the homes and the churches on the island

A team from Colorado is working on the rebuild for two churches this week -- thats the Freeport Gospel Chapel and Tabernacle Baptist Church with mainly drywall repair and roofing replacement

I toured several homes that were terribly impacted by the storm surge and the 185 mile-per-hour winds during the storm last September One single mom is living in a duplex over on the northeast side of Freeport thats mold infested her ceiling is missing and her roof is leaking such that her niece had to be hospitalized for a month from the mold The pastor and I prayed over her and our team will hopefully begin working on her leaking room later this week

Hurricane Dorian brought about a billion dollars of destruction to the islands or somewhere around 100 of the nations GDP That compares to Americas worst hurricane Katrina -- which impacted only about 2 of the GDP

Irans Revolutionary Guard on Saturday acknowledged that it accidentally shot down the Ukrainian jetliner that crashed last week killing all 176 people aboard after the Iranian government had repeatedly denied Western accusations and mounting evidence that it was responsible reports the Associated Press

The plane was shot down early Wednesday hours after Iran launched a ballistic missile attack on two military bases housing US troops in Iraq in retaliation for the killing of Iranian Gen Qassem Soleimani in an American airstrike in Baghdad No one was hurt in the attack on the US bases
