In an effort to bring Christianity further under government control Communist Chinese authorities have erased the words Bible God and Christ from classic childrens stories reports the Christian Post

Chinas Ministry of Education recently introduced a new school textbook to help fifth-grade students understand other cultures Included in the textbook are four popular stories by foreign writers including Robinson Crusoe The Little Match Girl and Vanka However each story is censored to remove any religious reference

For example in Daniel Defoes 18th century classic novel castaway Robinson Crusoe discovers three Bibles inside a shipwreck which he then uses as his moral compass while stranded on the island However the Chinese version eliminates the word Bible instead noting that Crusoe happened upon a few books

Cathedral allows carnival ride to be erected inside sanctuary

Praise God Over 50 villagers in Myanmar many of whom are Christianshave been releasedafter six months of captivity

GOH There were about 50 Khumi villagersThey are a Chin ethnic groupThey were abducted by the Arakan army group and brought to their place located between the Myanmar and Bangladesh border Although the Arakan army claimed this was because they were taking them away for safetyBut thats basically not true They were abducted and they were at one point used for human shields I think its a way to protect the Arakan army themselves because they were having intense fighting with the Burmese army

Sadly one of the villagers died in captivity However two others were able to escape and tell others
