William Dietrich grew up near Puget Sound in the shadow of Mount Rainier, and like so many writers of the Pacific Northwest, it is geography, a sense of place, and the natural and human environment that flows through his writing. The influence of dramatic landscapes on people infects not only his non-fiction but his novels, set in Antarctica, the Australian Outback, the barbarian fringes of the Roman Empire, the sands of the Middle East, or frontier America. The Pulitzer-winning journalist's non-fiction has been widely used in university classes and his fiction has been sold into twenty-eight languages. Dietrich was born on Sept. 29, 1951 in Tacoma, WA, graduated from Mount Tahoma High School during culturally tumultuous 1969, and attended Fairhaven College, an experimental liberal arts division of Western Washington University. Interest in writing led him to journalism at Western, and his first job was covering agricultural Skagit County for the Bellingham, WA, Herald. He got his literary start chronicling "Berry-Dairy Days" and other such modest events. As proof that life moves in circle -- or at least that his own life has not progressed very far -- Dietrich moved back to the same area a quarter-century later, now residing only twenty miles from that first bureau office. In 2006, he took a half-time position as an assistant professor teaching environmental journalism and writing at Western. He considers himself fortunate to have a corner of the world he can truly call home. - www.williamdietrich.com

In addition to her extensive background in health and brain research, Dr. Schulz has been a practicing medical intuitive for 19 years. Dr. Schulz teaches us how to become aware of how our symptoms of illness are part of our intuition network, letting us know when something in our lives is out of balance. During a medical intuitive consultation, there is no physician/patient relationship, nor is any psychotherapy being performed. Author of Secret Guide to Health, the Secret Guide to Wealth, and Secret Guide to Wisdom - Wayne Green is a publisher and an entrepreneur. As a matter of fact, he has a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurial Science. His publications are credited with starting the cell phone, and then the personal computer industries. His interest in amateur radio was sparked, when he was fifteen, by a man who brought a box of radio parts to church one Sunday and asked if he was interested. So, during WWII, he spent the war as the electronic technician on the submarine, the USS Drum, which is now on display in Mobile, Alabama. He's written a book about his adventures during the war. Wayne started his first publication in 1951 to encourage amateurs to pioneer digital communications using old teletype machines. And when a few radio clubs started extending the range of their mobile equipment via automatic relay stations atop mountains and tall buildings, he put one on a mountain near his New Hampshire home and started publishing hundreds of articles, helping the technology to develop. What started out as about a dozen of these systems grew quickly to over 8,000 around the country, and more all over the world. Out of this came the cell phone industry. When a little company in New Mexico made a computer kit available for hobbyists, Wayne saw the potential and quickly started the first personal computer magazine, Byte. This was followed by five more magazines, a software company, and then a chain of 58 stores, coast to coast.. Once the pioneering was over, Wayne sold his computer publications and started new magazines to help compact discs become accepted. Today Wayne's main interest is in helping people learn how they can cure any illness with no drugs so we can aim at cutting our healthcare costs by about 90% and make us the healthiest country in the world instead of one of the sickest and shortest-lived. On his web site, waynegreen.com, you'll find out more about this and his three best-selling books, his Secret Guide to Health, the Secret Guide to Wealth, and his Secret Guide to Wisdom. - www.waynegreen.com

W. Michael King, a native Californian, is a world-renowned leader in systems integration with electromagnetic waves and fields. He developed internationally recognized seminal research about how electrostatic field boundaries collapse. He has presented courses at major universities, such as Oxford, as well as in many technology corporations, and he has served an international client base in over 1,000 system-product designs. As a counterpoint to his career, he worked with a chain of mentors to resolve conflicts of self-esteem that burdened him in his early life, and gained transcendent awareness to prepare him for a magnificent adventure with his body in the throes of clinical death. In fact, the journey of the author began as a child with extraordinary precognitions, then an out-of-body experience during a motorcycle accident as a teenager led him to slowly shift his allegiance from "churchianity" and "god" to accepting full responsibility for his own life and evolution. Much later on, he would again "die," this time from a massive hemorrhage. Finding himself in the oft-reported "tunnel of light," he chose to see what was outside or beyond this structure. He found himself in an extraordinary space of particle winds, a new state of being as a conscious sphere filled with wondrous energy, and the ability to communicate with others who have highly evolved in magnificent attainment, and with whom he became affiliated to gain perspectives. The outcome of this journey: a radically new vision of evolving humanity's future! Based on his experiences spanning across the spectra from the physical to the metaphysical and recognizing technical instruction was often insufficient to develop positive self-image within students and clients, he expanded his practice to mentor, helping others gain objectivity using reason to build self-esteem, an issue that permeates every aspect of life. His many protégés have thrived in all aspects of their lives. - www.atheistscangettoheaven.com

atherine Dougherty was born and grew up in San Francisco, California. Prior to her current lifestyle/career she was in sales and marketing with a Fortune 500 company for 14 years. Catherine currently lives in Golden, CO a lovely community in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Catherine had a near death experience (NDE) in 1995 while living in Virginia Beach, VA that precipitated dramatic changes in her life, from spiritual "downloads" to healing. The NDE itself was life changing, however what happened in conjunction with the NDE was nothing short of remarkable. This NDE recreated Catherine and developed a format for the work she offers today. Catherine has been a healer for 16 years. The healings and medical intuitive readings have been remarkable to date. Much of the work Catherine does is developed from the "downloads", with the exception of certified work. Catherine's health crisis from the NDE precipitated a search for the right medical model to support healing and wellness. What Catherine discovered was a more hands-on and holistic approach to wellness was needed based upon her NDE. And what followed was a journey into healing arts, like no other. Catherine's résumé contains certified work in Touch For Health®, Educational Kinesiology® and Brain Gym®, for developmental and learning challenges, head injury, and stroke. This work benefits many walks of life and situations for better balance, improved memory and concentration. In addition, Catherine is a Reiki Master/Teacher, certified in Vortex Healing® Divine Energy Healing, and a member of The Johrei® Fellowship. Catherine offers classes and attunements, with HIV/AIDS and Stage 4 patients receiving Special Attunements and specific mentoring. Testimonies for healing and Catherine's proprietary herbal formulas are available on her website locations: www.TheNaturalSage.com and www.TheNaturalSage.com/herbalindex.asp Catherine has also been a guest on FM radio in Virginia which she enjoys tremendously. Like many other people who have been touched by spirit, Catherine is a different person from prior to the NDE, and the life she leads is not what she had expected to have, nor even anticipated. Catherine's life is serendipitous and at times miraculous. Catherine takes it for granted now, however in the first years after the NDE the experiences she had were almost hard to believe, had it not been for friends and family around her to witness them. - www.thenaturalsage.com
