Retired teacher and author David J. Pitkin has sought understanding of mysteries throughout his life. In the 1960s he became fascinated with the workings of the unconscious mind and on the growing evidence for consciousness surviving body death. Since visiting a haunted barn in 1968, and the "Riley House" in Saratoga Springs, NY, in 1978, he has experienced a number of paranormal phenomena, collecting over 900 folktales of hauntings in Canada, the U.S., and around the world. Many of these are detailed in his book, Ghosts of the Northeast and his recent works: Haunted Saratoga County, New York State Ghosts, Vol.1 and the upcoming NY State Ghosts, Vol. 2. Pitkin's first novel: The Highest Mountain: Death & Life in the Adirondacks, was published in June 2007. He is currently working on New England Ghosts, which will be released in September 2010. Conducting investigations for thirty-eight years at many reputedly haunted sites in New York State, the New England states and Canada, he has become a philosopher lecturing on death. A resident of Chestertown, NY, Pitkin lectures widely on parapsychology and metaphysical themes, including ghost stories. He studied dream analysis with Dr. Montague Ullman and facilitated a dream study group for eleven years. Pitkin believes many dreams of the departed are genuine ghost or spirit contacts. He holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Studies Education from S.U.N.Y., Albany, and a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Goddard College, Plainfield, VT. He is also a professional numerologist.- http://www.facebook.com/l/70a64;www.afterwold.info

Is it possible that prophecies made thousands of years ago can predict present-day events? Shockingly, yes. In 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect, author Bob Thiel PhD unveils which predictions are likely to come to pass, which ones cannot come to pass, and how the whole world will be affected. Dr. Thiel's years of dedicated research unmasks the actual sources and likely order of the fulfillment of ancient prophecies, including: The centuries old Shiite prophecy that tells of a time when a "tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West" and will be commanding "the strongest army on earth." This power change is to signal Muslims to accept a militaristic Muslim leader intent on converting the world to Islam. Some claim that U.S. President Barack Obama is that "tall black man." Many Catholic prophets' claim that God will cause civil unrest in Europe and lead to the rise of an ecumenical military leader who will change the Catholic faith and destroy the Muslims. The annihilation of national powers who incur great debt. Prophecies claim that they will be destroyed by their creditors who suddenly rise against them. The Buddhist, Hindu, New Age, and Christian search for an "age of peace to come." Some predictions suggest supporting a militaristic ecumenical religion that will force people to convert or die. Will a false "age of peace" precede the real coming one? The increased sunspot activity that will result in great heat, devastation, and climate change sometime during the next decade. The rising of a small group, known as "the secret sect," will rise up and explain what is really happening and then be rendered powerless through a persecuting and murderous ecumenical military leader. Even if you do not believe any of them, many others do. The prophecies in the book 2012 and the Rise of the Secret Sect cover the cultures of nearly 6,000,000,000 people. Many of the prophecies will be brought to pass. Learn about what they really are so that you can decide what you and your loved ones should do. - www.thesecretsect.com

A satirical joyride in the tradition of Kurt Vonnegut and Douglas Adams, First Contact introduces us to the hyper-intelligent Rigelians, who admire Woody Allen movies and Bundt cake, and urge the people of Earth to mend their ways to avoid destruction of their planet. But the president of the United States, a God-fearing, science-doubting fitness fanatic, is skeptical of the evidence presented to him and sets in motion a chain of events that will change the lives of his young attaché, an alien scam artist, several raccoons, and a scientist who has predicted the end of the universe. Parrot sketch excluded. - www.evanmandery.com

Shadow Government : How the Global Elite Plan to Destroy Democracy and Your Freedom - André van Heerden loves every aspect of production and it shows. The talented filmmaking hyphenate has come through the wars of independent filmmaking, still full of faith, still smiling and still eager for more. Van Heerden's wildly popular breakout film, Revelation (1999), starring Jeff Fahey, Nick Mancuso and supermodel Carol Alt, was on the best-seller lists for over two years and led the way in revolutionizing the faith-based film genre. Following that success van Heerden helmed the next popular installment, Tribulation, starring Gary Busey, Margot Kidder and comedian Howie Mandel (2000). Judgment (2001) a courtroom thriller starring L.A Law's Corbin Bernsen, the A Team's Mr. T and Armageddon's Jessica Steen was both written and directed by van Heerden. Van Heerden's Deceived (March 2002), a 21st century supernatural thriller starring Judd Nelson and Academy Award® winner Louis Gossett Jr., won "Film/Video of the Year" from Christian Beats, while the film's musical score was nominated for "Best Musical Score" at the DVD Premiere Awards. Veteran Director of Photography George Tirl (Steel Dawn) was impressed with van Heerden's burgeoning talents. "André is extremely gifted and committed to absolute quality," says Tirl of the young director. Similarly, actors who have worked with van Heerden (from Oscar winners and nominees to popular stars) are eager to do so again and all readily praise his collaborative, professional and compelling style. In addition to directing, van Heerden has played other significant roles. He co-produced the feature Left Behind: the Movie (2000), starring Kirk Cameron and Brad Johnson, which went on to become the number-one selling independent video of 2000. He also teamed up with the Left Behind II: Tribulation Force crew as Production Supervisor and Music Supervisor and then wrote and produced Left Behind: World at War (2005) starring Academy Award® winner Louis Gossett Jr. and Kirk Cameron. In December of 2007, van Heerden moved from his position of VP of Film at Cloud Ten Pictures to become its current CEO. Van Heerden is still also responsible for acquisitions and development . Recently he produced Saving God with Ving Rhames (Mission Impossible, Pulp Fiction), Ricardo Chavira (Desperate Housewives) and Dean McDermott (Open Range) as well as wrote and directed the cutting edge documentaries Shadow Government and Dragons or Dinosaurs?Van Heerden has also written, produced and directed three seasons of a news-style TV program, and more than half a dozen other documentaries; including such stand-out projects as Vanished (1998) and Startling Proofs (1995). Van Heerden showed his aptitude for directing, a dream of his, early on. He graduated from Carleton University's prestigious School of Journalism with a combined High Honors Degree in English and Journalism. The National Film Board of Canada purchased his film thesis It's Not Just Pac-Man. Zambian-born and raised in Canada, van Heerden is a dedicated family-man and lives in the greater-Toronto area with his wife and three children. - www.cloudtenpictures.com
