The 'X' Zone Radio/TV Show

Barry Greenwood has pursued the UFO topic since 1964. He has served as an investigator and state section director for Massachusetts MUFON for ten years. He specializes in researching government documents in the late 1970s which lead to the 1984 publication of Clear Intent written with Larry Fawcett. He edited the newsletter "Just Cause" for "Citizens Against UFO Secrecy" (CAUS) from 1984 to 1998. Much of his research has been published in the "MUFON UFO Journal," "Flying Saucer Review" and a variety of international publications since the mid-1970s. In more recent years, he has specialized in UFO history, compiling "The New England Airship Wave of 1909" and editing "U.F.O. Historical Revue," a newsletter that began in 1998. He published the online "Union Catalog of Periodical UFO Articles," a massive listing of UFO articles published in worldwide periodical literature. He is an Associate of "Project 1947" and the "Sign Historical Group" (SHG) and oversees the massive archives of historical UFO materials.

He has held memberships in the American Astronomical Society, American Association for the Advancement of Science, and continues membership as a Fellow of the British Interplanetary Society. 

The UFO controversy is a topic that deserves continued monitoring and investigation in the event that one or more of the incidents reported may exhibit provable signs of a previously unknown phenomenon. Many of the UFO incidents on record are often highly unusual and difficult to explain but do not provide proof of extraterrestrial or otherwise exotic origins that are commonly expressed in popular media. It is urgent that immediate attention be given to both preserving the existing records and duplicating those records into other forms for future dissemination and study in the event that important elements of information may contribute to a solution, or solutions, to the more mysterious incidents. 

Brenda McClurkin works with the Special Collections at the University of Texas at Arlington.  Part of that collection is tens of thousands of photographs taken by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram over the decades. She has worked with several people in an attempt to read what we all call the Ramey Memo, which is a document held by Brigadier General Roger Ramey in his office on July 8, 1947. It was a series of photographs taken by Fort Worth Star-Telegram Photographer J. Bond Johnson after the newspaper was alerted to the flying saucer debris was being sent from Roswell, New Mexico. In one of the photographs, Ramey is holding a document that is turned slightly toward the camera which can almost be read. Brenda was instrumental in getting permission for a team of researchers, using the latest equipment and technology in to attempt to read the memo. Without her help and support, none of it would have happened.

David Halperin - In the 1960s, David Halperin was a teenage UFOlogist. He grew up to become a professor of religious studies—his specialty, religious traditions of heavenly ascent and otherworldly journeys. He taught history of Judaism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1976 through 2000. He’s published five books and numerous articles on Jewish mysticism and messianism, and one novel, Journal of a UFO Investigator, which draws on his teenage dreams and fantasies as well as the UFO scene of the early 1960s. The novel was published in 2011 by Viking Press and has been translated into Spanish, Italian, and German.

Lorna Hunter is a native of MN and a farm girl with a lifelong interest in science and nature. Her education focused heavily on the sciences, but when she joined MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) and began to seriously delve into the mysteries of UFOlogy she added the science of the mind to her curriculum and is currently pursuing a degree in psychology. Working as a UFO investigator, and being an objective skeptic, led her to take a course in criminal investigation and evidence prep, which in turn led to a job as a death investigator, and eventually to becoming a member of TIPS.

Larry Lawson has more than 36 years in law enforcement which has taught him a few things. The most important is the proper gathering and preservation of evidence. This holds true for the world of the paranormal. He says that it is important whether it is the search for the afterlife, cryptozoology, extraterrestrials of UFOs. John Burroughs served twenty-seven years in the United States Air Force, both on active duty and in the Reserve, as a law enforcement flight chief, supervisor, patrolman and a K-9 handler. His many deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom and he has provided security for the president of the United States. He is one of the co-authors of Encounter in Rendlesham Forest along with Nick Pope and Jim Penniston. John might be the first and only former military member to receive VA compensation for injuries sustained during a UFO encounter.

Charles I. Halt is a retired United States Air Force colonel and the former base commander of RAF Bentwaters, near Woodbridge, Suffolk. After serving in Vietnam, Japan and Korea, he was assigned to Bentwaters as deputy commander. The Rendlesham Forest incident of late December 1980 occurred shortly afterwards.

In the late hours of December 27, and early December 28, 1980 then Lieutenant Colonel Halt led a patrol to investigate an alleged UFO landing site near the eastern edge of Rendlesham Forest. During this investigation they witnessed several unidentified lights, most prominent of them being a bright flashing light in the direction of Orford Ness. In January 1981 Halt composed an official Air Force memorandum listing details of the events. The memo was then dispatched to the Ministry of Defence. Halt also made an audio tape recording of the incident

After retiring from the US Air Force in 1991, Halt made his first public appearance in a television documentary, where he confirmed the authenticity of the Rendlesham Forest incident. His book on the subject is entitled The Halt Perspective.
In June 2010 Halt issued a notarized affidavit in which he summarized the alleged events of the Rendlesham Forest UFO incident and concluded: "I believe the objects that I saw at close quarter were extraterrestrial in origin and that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted – both then and now – to subvert the significance of what occurred at Rendlesham Forest and RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practiced methods of disinformation."

Ruben Jose Uriarte graduated from Cal State University at Hayward/East Bay with a B.A. degree in Psychology and Latin American Studies. Ruben is a member of MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) as a Field Investigator, State MUFON Director for Northern California and Deputy Director of Investigations/International Affairs.

Ruben has been involved with a large network of research organizations and served as a California State Coordinator for Crop Circle Phenomena Research International. He was a former research director for Beyond Boundaries, a company specializing in taking tour groups to various UFO "hotspots" around the world.

Ruben currently serves as a board member for OPUS (Organization for Paranormal and Support Understanding). The mission of OPUS is to educate and support people having unusual /anomalous personal experiences

Ruben has authored a number of books, co-written with Texas UFO researcher Noe Torres about major UFO crashes and other historical cases that have occurred along the border Southwestern United States and Mexico.

Stan Gordon has been researching UFO sightings, Bigfoot encounters, and other mysterious events in Pennsylvania since 1959. Since then, he has been involved with the investigation of thousands of unusual incidents. He is the primary investigator of the 1965 UFO crash incident that occurred near Kecksburg, PA. Stan has been taking calls on UFO sightings and other strange reports from the public since 1969, and he continues to receive unusual reports on a regular basis.

He is the producer of the award winning UFO video documentary, “Kecksburg The Untold Story.” Stan is the author of three books, Silent Invasion: The Pennsylvania UFO-Bigfoot Casebook, Really Mysterious Pennsylvania, and his latest book, Astonishing Encounters: Pennsylvania’s Unknown Creatures, published in August of 2015. He appears frequently on radio and television programs discussing his research on these topics. Stan has been seen on the History & Discovery Channel, SyFy Channel, Destination America Channel, and Unsolved Mysteries, as well as numerous other TV programs. He has been a guest on the Coast to Coast radio show several times.

During 2014, Stan appeared on numerous radio and TV shows.
