Microsoft has acquired ZeniMax Media, as well as all of their game divisions! This includes Bethesda Game Studios, iD Software, Arkane Studios, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, ZeniMax Online Studios, Alpha Dog and Roundhouse Studios, as well as their associated IPs. Phil Spencer stated after the announcement was made that Ghostwire Tokyo and Deathloop will honor their exclusivity agreements and that exclusivity will be determined on a case by case basis. All Bethesda games will be coming to Game Pass and all new Bethesda games will launch day and date with Game Pass going forward.

Microsoft have confirmed that Xbox Series S will play backwards compatible games the same way that Xbox One S does, without Xbox One X enhancements. This means games will take advantage of HDR and smoother framerates and according to Digital Foundry, they should see an increase in performance naturally because of the SSD and Series S hardware. Lower memory specs, in combination with other factors appear to be the reason behind this.

The Xbox Series S and X release dates and prices have been revealed! The Xbox Series S and X will both launch worldwide on November 10th. The Series S will launch with a price of 379.99 CAD/299.99 USD while the Series X will launch at 599.99 CAD/499.99 USD! Both consoles will be included as part of the Xbox All Access program, offering the Series S at 25 USD/month and the Series X at 35 USD/month.
