With over 25 years of experience as a community psychiatric nurse and (trauma-) therapist, Anneke offers unwavering support for as long as you need. Her strengths lie in patience and dedication, and she specializes in addressing childhood or religious trauma, as well as navigating extraordinary or spiritually profound experiences.
A trailblazer in the field of yoga therapy and healthcare, Anneke founded Network Yoga Therapy in 2010 and organized The Yoga Therapy Conference in 2015. She directed the Svastha yoga teacher trainings for medical professionals and leads ‘Terrapy, integrative yoga therapy’ too.
Anneke’s expertise is enriched by her training and extensive practice in Yoga and Yoga Therapy, the Polyvagal Theory, Compassion Focused Therapy/Mindful Self Compassion, and Internal Family Systems. Influenced by prominent figures like AG Mohan, Indra Mohan, Stephen Porges, Bessel van der Kolk, Janina Fisher, Richard Schwartz, Kristen Neff, Chris Germer, and others, she brings a wealth of knowledge to her work.
Recognized internationally, Anneke is a founding member of the Global Consortium of Yoga Therapy, maintaining connections with yoga therapy organizations across the globe.
Her collaborations include working with the Dutch Ministry of Defense, UMC Utrecht, Meander Amersfoort, Arkin Amsterdam, and many more.
