Abelardo and Isra are two great podcasters and content creators, and this time they brought all their good energy to The Zingg, and we really had a great time!
With Eglantina they discuss the importance of being authentic when creating any content; that when what you create is not something that you like it first, not only will you not create empathy with your audience, but also, you will not be happy doing it.
That is why it´s so important you feel identified in what you do, because first you do it for you and then you connect with others.
My takeaway: Being yourself is already an act of rebellion, and it is very powerful!
Juan Arango has been arguably the best Venezuelan soccer player and for a long time he was also considered as the best free-kicker in the world, but this time, in The Zingg, we talked about Juan's more human side, and what it really makes him unique.
With Eglantina they discuss how teamwork has great obstacles, mainly egos, and how Juan worked in his career to handle these situations.
From anecdotes during a game or in his human and professional relationships, this time Juan did not leave any topic out of the table, and the result was a very funny conversation!
My takeaway: Always be yourself, and control your egos, but when you identify an injustice, then stand for your interests.
María Celeste has accomplished everything in journalism, from being the first female recipient of the Emmy Legacy Award for her for outstanding achievement in Hispanic Television, to hosting a presidential debate or publishing three best-selling books.
In this conversation with Eglantina they discuss how her achievements have been the consequence of her passion for each project, from the simplest to the most important.
They review the importance of finding your strengths, and once identified, setting your own goals without comparisons with others. Understanding the power of the mind is crucial, train it and learn to control it because you can be its slave or your best ally.
My takeaway: Identify your strengths, and work passionately on each of your goals.
From a very sincere and direct conversation, Eglantina and Rosshanna discuss how life is about constant evolution, and that to achieve our goals sometimes we have to leave our comfort zone.
Among many other things, they discussed how to embrace your imperfections and understand that it is precisely them that make you unique in this world.
My takeway: Never is too soon nor late to start what you really love but always do it with passion.
Here's the story: Recently, a friend talked me about the podcast “Escuela de Nada”. After listening some episodes I got hooked with it so I went to the shows they had early this year where I met Leo Rojas. On Leo´s next visit to Miami I invited him to The Zingg.
Leo has a long track in the entertainment business on Internet, and this time, from a conversation between two friends who are getting to know each other better (drinks in between), we talked about the different “personas” on social media.
Among the many things you´ll find on this season finale episode, we discuss from the understanding that what we express in our social media can have consequences in our analog lives, the territoriality of the humor, and the relevance of the podcast in the communications of the 21st century.
My takeaway: Always be honest with yourself, no matter if it's online or offline.
If you want to learn more about Leo and his content, you may follow him on his social media as @ leorojas1 and @escueladenada.
This is the story: Back in 2019, my beloved mentor Carolina Herrera decided to make an homage to the Mexican culture and their indigenous people through the incorporation of some particular patterns in her haute couture resort collection. Furthermore, Carolina is indeed a proud Venezuelan so native Latin-American heritage is in her ADN. The result, the Mexican Minister of Culture decided to publicly accuse the company of cultural appropriation and plagiarism.
Sometimes, enough is enough, and taking this case as an example, Eglantina this time discusses how culturally wise nothing may belongs to anyone in its entirety, as human beings have been always in constant movement and migrations, so cultural syncretism is a fact and there is nothing wrong representing other cultures, as long as it is done with respect and empathy. Eglantina has been very vocal about cultural cross-pollination and this is no exception.
Of course there are circumstances to consider on a case to case basis as sometimes there are stories involving so much pain and suffer, but in many cases it seems “much ado about nothing”.
My takeaway: When representing something that may refers to a culture other than yours, always do it with respect, empathy and without causing harm to anyone.
This is the story: My good friend Salomón Rondón is one heck of a footballer and human being. Last time we saw each other I was celebrating my birthday in Manchester. Early that day, he scored the winning goal against the Manchester United. This time, we meet again in Miami thanks to our friends at @soccersportgroup, and I was eager to learn more about his life and how he deals with failures and successes, among many other things.
As usually, we sat down, turn on The Zingg´s mic and start talking, and we had such a good time!
As an elite athlete, Salomón has had to deal with many difficult things such as constantly moving from countries, different cultures, languages, taking ridiculous long flights for a football match and family separation, among other. So we discussed those things and many more in very relax environment.
My takeaway: Embrace the changes, and enjoy the journey of life.

Eglantina, in collaboration with Nestlé Venezuela´s well-known brand COCOSETTE® and their campaign "More Kisses, Less Labels", this time talks about the prejudices and predispositions to which we have been exposed since we came into this world and how they are being left behind through the time.
At the same time, she is excited to see how companies like Nestlé and brands like COCOSETTE® make history in Venezuela by being one of the first to promote values such as Respect, Diversity, Inclusion and Non-discrimination in any of its forms.
Looking for those things that unite us and working on them, instead of focusing on those that separate and divide us, this new episode of The Zingg is about that and much more.
If you want to know a little more about the campaign and the values it promotes, you can visit to their Instagram profile @cocosettevzla

This is the story: My fellow Venezuelan Joanna Hausmann is one of the best my comedian that I´ve known and I´m a big fan of what she does. On the other side, I wanted to explore other angle of comedy, the one without the spotlights, our day to day comedy, so we sat down, turn on the Mic and start talking.
Among many laughs, we discussed things such as how we face rejection, how people engage and connect with our content, how we´re sometimes labeled and even how we´ve dealt with existential crisis using comedy as a tool.
My takeaway: Comedy is such a powerful tool and we can use it wisely to address so many things that divide us as a society.

This story is simple: I was in New York for few days but I want to meet and catch-up with my beloved friend Franco Noriega @franconorhal.
