The ZooCast

Our first full week of Laura WFH and broadcasting from her bedroom and it wasn't without some minor hiccups, but it did birth what would become and firm fan favourite on the show: DESK OR BED.

An absolute clickbait bastard episode title. Sorry not sorry. Laura has landed herself a handy gig of broadcasting from her bloody bedroom; the show is pretty much the same though.

Well it's our last ZooCast of the year and it's our longest intro to date. We try and remember one thing we did on the show in each month of the year, which turns out to be quite difficult, and we reminisce on the year that has been while our bellies hurt after well and truly stuffing our faces. SEE Y'ALL IN 2021! J&L x

WHAT A WEEK! We find out the many uses & names for that little plastic thing that comes in your pizza box. We try the infamous Marmite. And we bring you all the behind the scenes audio from our trip to Dublin Zoo. They kindly invited us in to see how the animals were getting on and to raise awareness for the #SaveDublinZoo campaign.

Leanne fills in for Laura this week, and she tells us about her weird obsession with watch soap videos at night before bed. We also delve into when your online shopping goes wrong, and we give away the first tickets in the country for Longitude 2021!

So many gas stories from you, our listeners, this week! Everything from the most ridiculous injuries you've obtained, the strangest things you've had in your lunchbox, and your fav memories from the GOAT - Bebo!

A lot squeezed into this little ol' pod this week. A lot of interesting accents were featured, as well as some slogans for the wonderful roads in our country that no one asked for. We don't often get very serious on the Zoo Crew but we did for a moment this week as we find out why Jaz spent some time in hospital and the importance of trusting your gut.

A shorter pod than normal as we were off on annual leave on Monday, and as you'll hear, we didn't get up to much! Also times you've slipped, tripped or spilled at work, a STANK in Jaz's car has transferred to Laura's, and Jaz is glued to the US election.

A special episode indeed, this week we hosted a reunion with Brian & Dara on The Zoo Crew! Brian & Dara hosted the Zoo Crew for 4 years and were listener favourites in their time (including favourites of Jaz & Laura) so it was cool to have them back together on Spin. We revisit the much-sought-after #HowayaBoys Hoodies and find a listener who still has hers, and go deep into the archives to unearth an episode of the infamous Petting Corner.

Also in this episode we try get to the bottom a serious stank in Jaz's car, a reading from Laura's teenage diary, and our uncut interview with 24k Goldn!

SKIP TO THE GOOD BIT:

Brian & Dara: 49:36

24k Goldn: 1:03:42

It was a week of a lot of furniture, a call to Leo Varadkar's Office and one of the best New Word Wednesdays yet! Oh, and our full chat with Erica Cody!
