The40 (Drum and Bass)

Into August and at Back to the Future HQ we are very excited. Along with our normal array of new music and messing about, this month we have a very special guest mix..

We have secured an exclusive mix from the one and only DLR. Regular listeners to the show will know how big this is for us; he has done a mix full of his own tracks and is accompanied by the legend that is MC Gusto. So excited..

We have a cracking show including mixes from myself and Mr Evolve. A classic with a historical twist and a quality shout tune.

Expect to hear Stealth’s latest on Program some of Dabs’s Constant EP, The latest release on Eatbrain. In the spirit of contrast some lovely bits on Spearhead and Hospital. Not forgetting the usual solid representation from Dispatch and Metalheadz.

So ahead of the guest mix we caught up with DLR, to find out what he had to say get yourself over to our facebook page..

Hey,

Thanks to everyone who’s downloaded the Old School show from last month. Over a 1000 plays and downloads.

Back this month and we have our normal mix of styles and labels. We are playing catch up though, I had to choose from 60 tracks to play (before Evolve even had a say!!).

Music from Optiv & BTKs Blackjack LP, Doses Mind the Future LP, more of the Tales of the Undead LP from Eatbrain. Also a few tracks from Noisias Purpose EP, Renegade Hardware, Dispatch and a load of Metalheadz.

Back to our normal arrangements.. a few to open, Evolves mix, a classic, a shout tune and a mix from me.

We have squashed in about as much new music as we can.. enjoy..

As ever, please remember the facebook fan page..

Into February, and despite the atrocious weather there is at least some good new beats on the horizon, this month we are spoilt for choice.

The new Critical LP Underground Sonics features heavily (at least in my set anyway) and Evolve is treating you to the new Survival on Dispatch and something new from Blackout Music. I’ve decided to throw some teases and some older tunes in the mix.. you’re welcome..! No guest mix this month.. Just too much music to play you, we got some shouts and a classic from 1998 to look forward to.

This month we’d like you to get on to our Facebook page, if you want to have a look at our ugly mugs and leave us some abuse... or feedback. Please do. We’d also invite you to request classic tracks on there... so get yourself over to... www.facebook.com/dmixandevolve like and share... if you’d be so kind. While you at it please feel free to follow us on Soundcloud too using

www.soundcloud.com/dj-d-mix

So that’s that all done.. time to get into it..And what a way to start.

Happy New Year all, welcome to our first show of 2014. Thanks very much for all the downloads and listens, around 700 from our December show.. The Top 10 has obviously gone down well. If you missed it get yourself to www.soundcloud.com/dj-d-mix to listen again. While you’re at it.. go to our facebook page too… https://www.facebook.com/dmixandevolve!!

So we start all over.. What a way to start 2014, we have a fantastic guest mix this month. We’ve been trying to get this for a while.. And here it is. This month we are ably assisted by ZERO METHOD! This is a producer we’ve been playing since the show began. With releases on DSCi4, Redlight, Subtitles and Citrus this producer has been getting bigger and bigger with every track. Once again our guest mix all the way from Hungary.. Zero Method.

So.. we buy so many tracks in a month that sometimes they slip through the net a bit. So both of our mixes have some interesting bits in them, a bit of a mop up.. Of course there are a couple of tracks just out this month but you can expect some older tracks too.

We have the usual classic, shouts and a few bits to get you going..
